      b-6 serotonin connection?

I read that b-6 causes the replenishment of serotonin, is this the reason why it helps your dreams? the serotonin levels? if this is true, ive got a killer drug that does the same thing, and probably better, its called 5-htp. Its mainly used by people to boost their serotonin levels before extacy use and to recover from low levels after the fact.
*note: i do not encourage the use of extacy in any form. if you havent ever done it, just dont. its amazing, too amazing, thats the problem*

Yes, 5-htp should work if you take it at bed time, or sometimes before bed time.
It represses REM and this causes REM rebound on the second half of the night.
I tried it just once as yet, and it didn't work well. I took it at bed time. I guess I'm sensitive to it, so next time I'll try to take it about an hour before bedtime.
But, don't take b-6 together with 5-htp, as this will reduce the effectiveness.

Erm dude: XTC is MDMA; an empathogen with profound effects. 5-HTP is tryptophan: a natural nutrient found in many foods. And another thing: I've done XTC, of which I'm not proud at all, and I can tell you: It's not that special at all. It's like alcohol in it's effects: you feel kind of allright and good, but at the same time there's a part inside of you that is just screaming: Dude this is not good!. You can feel that it is not right and that the feelings induced are really artificial and fake, while the effects of Natural Entheogens are most pleasing and feel very free and natural. besides they deliver a mystical sometimes religious experience whereas XTC is just a lame feeling without any meaning.

5-HTP is present in high amounts in bananas, but also in other foods.

You could try smoking Marijana, given that you are okay with that, some 5 hours before bedtime and then take 5-HTP 1 hour or so before bedtime: Both cause REM-surpression and eventually an REM-rebound. perhaps this delivers an interresting synergy of REM surpression and then a huge rebound. It needs experimentation so I'm going to get some 5-HTP supplements next time I'm going to buy Marijuana again, but not for some time since I am currently enjoying my Marijuana induced REM-rebound.

I read recently that tryptophan has recently been found to exist in unusually large amounts in cheek peas.
I guess this is why I am addicted to humus ( a dish made of cheek peas ). After I eat it I really feel relaxed and high, more than after eating any other food.

Hey, no shit? I started using humus a few months ago, mostly for healthy reasons (as a substitute for mayonaise). It actually tastes pretty good too. So what does this mean, now - I have to be mindful of when I eat it so id doesn't effect my other 'dream' supplements before bed?

Well I guess it depends how much you eat of it. My guess is that you need to eat quite a lot of it to have a significant effect ( like a full plate ).

Ah Humus is the Breakfast of the Champions It's the greatest!
Dodo I bet you know "Nana". I really enjoy it in my tea and it makes me seriously feel high, calm, relaxed and physically warm and tender.

How about a sandwitch with humus(5-HTP), a Cup of Nana infused tea and a banana(5-HTP) some 3 to 1 hour(s) before bedtime?

      Sounds good!
Yes I love nana, for others who don't know it, it's a type of mint, with a sweet subtle taste.
In fact in our local humus restaurant, that I frequent several times a week ( I'm really am addicted... ) I always eat my humus with a glass of black tea with nana, which the place let you drink for free

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but the disclaimer i put in there was to say dont take mdma, not about taking 5-htp. Unlike you, my mdma experiances have been quite mind blowing, and some of the most amazing experiances ever (this may be the result of the quality i have been able to obtain such as in ibiza), but yes, it has come with its downsides. I dont think of my self as a user, ive only been on it 3 times within the last 2 years or so. but yeah, your right about the back of your mind feeling. it is a little synthetic, and probably the biggest downside is i have sometimes gotten anxiety, something thats not regular for me. But just a word to those who have thought about trying it, know your pills! rolls are notorious for being cut with amphetamines and other shit. A great website to anyone interested, Pillreports.com
