Thread: Mugwort

Ive been looking everywhere but I cant find a place where I can get a mugwort plant. A website or something might help.

A herbal drugstore might have it. But then again I read about mugwort's supposed dreamenhancing properties, bought an ounce of it, tried it as Tea, as a smoke and as a bag put under my pillow; like european peoples used to do in the old time, but found it had no effects on my dreams at all.

Is there anyone here with a possitive DreamEnhancing experience using Mugwort, A.K.A. Atremisia Vulgaris?

I found a site where i could buy the african dream root plant but I dont know how you get what you need out of the roots. It wouldnt make sense to get the plant and then kill it to get its roots.

Mugwort is an easily available legal high here is aust and i came across it the same time i began doing lucid dreaming so ive used it a lot. Ive found it definately does have an effect on dreaming, it makes them more colourful and alive. Like a lot of other drugs it helps put you in a similar state of awareness as when you are lucid, but its very subtle.

Its been hard for me to study it well because i have a very active life, working a lot and travelling and partying so all of these factors would effect my experiences of it. I think it works the best if i drink it in tea at the same time as smoking it before going to bed, but i would have to drink and smoke it for a few days before any noticable effect. Very relaxing and spacy before sleep too. Most of the lucid dreams ive had with it have been DILDs, brought on by nothing particular in the dream really, just realising that im dreaming all of a sudden.

But its not a wonderplant or anything, i have LDs whether i have it or not. Sometimes it works and sometimes, just nothing but dreams are definately more colourful.

hmm mugwort, that sounds interesitng i'll try it out if i see it anywhere.

another legal herb is valerian root, and thats given me some lucids, at least more in-dream awareness. i'd also remember more than usually when taking valerian root. you can get it at your local GNC

Mugwort is easy to find in dried quantities in just about any new-agey kind of shop or in online herb stores like http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/. You can also buy live plants from Richter's - http://www.richters.com/. It grows wild in many parts of the US and is a hardy little plant.

Mugwort (Artemesia Vulgaris) contains smaller quantities of the chemical in Wormwood (Artemesia Absinthium) and should be treated with caution. I've dranken it for years in moderation with no ill effects. Women who are pregnant or nursing should stay clear of it.

three plants that i ordered came in the mail yesterday, mugwort, calea zacatechichi, and wild dagga(not for lucid dreaming) if only they would grow faster.

What's mugwort?
