I've had a persistent cold + flu that's lasted 2 weeks. During this time, I've been dreaming a lot less and the dreams I do have are shorter, less vivid (eg. only one DC visible at a time and the background is usually grey), and seem to convey less meaning. This week I also decided to finally start taking some night-time cold medicine to clear my sinuses out once and for all. The effect? Yup, total end to dreams. I think this is due to the fact that one of the drugs acts as an anti-cholinergic.
So, having a ton of new Calea Z 10x extract laying around, I thought I'd try some and see what happened. (I have previously tried regular Calea Z about 4-5 times with no success).
The results were great! I had recall of 3-4 dreams last night (which is on par with my non-sick norm) and they were definitely more vivid than I've been having in the last 2 weeks. They were still a little random and lacking in coherent storylines (which I guess is still the effect of the sickness) but I'm happy to be dreaming at all!
The dreams were all kind of pre-lucid. I had the sense that I was dreaming, but seemed to groggy and lethargic to even care to do something. It really still felt like a haze... like imagine if you were laying in a hospital bed on morphine and people kept coming in to dance in front of you and tell you stuff, haha...
Anyways, seems like a good alternative to level yourself out and get back to dreaming if sickness is robbing you of dreams!
Any one else experience this?? Or find any other natural remedies that help during cold + flu season?
