Sounds really cool, I was looking to see if st johns wort grows in Ireland but unfortunately southern hemisphere only. Hope it helps with your dreaming. |

Has anybody heard of this before? I think it's relatively unknown. I just got a bottle of this in the mail because it contains a St. John's wort extract that is standardized to contain hyperforin rather than hypericin (which most stores have, and has very different pharmacological effects) and I wanted to see if it could be used for dreams or anything. What I didn't expect is it to contain a bunch of other ingredients as well which actually make this sound like it could be a pretty useful supplement. The ingredients are as follows: |

It might sound stupid but I don't like ordering or buying natural supplements (or any plant or fruit). I want to try get everything through my mind or my area. And there are so many different chamicals in plants I have a huge range of things to try. Around my house alone there are mushrooms, horse chestnut trees, all kinds of plants and weeds, wild roots and fruit, plants like clovers, shamrocks and mint etc. I don't feel good buying these stuff when I can collect similar ingredients. I still would like to hear how it goes with your experience though. |

Hey alyzarin, does your amoryn mood booster actually contain st johns wort extract or only hyperforin. I just found out that your delta opoid receptor regulates your non-shivering thermoregulation, A study conducted a for the past three months showed that mice which had their DOR gene removed stayed lean. I remeber coming across a chemical called amentoflavone in St johns wort which happens to be a DOR antagonist, so it might have a potential as a weight losing plant, |

Look at you! Doing your research. |

Okay so I might try St johns wort and peppermint for the next few days. Supposedly it both increases rem and deep sleep quality |

Good luck! |

This stuff sounds rather interesting. I'll be keeping my eye out for how this worked for you. I tried Dream Water, which helped with Vividness, but other than that I had no LD from drinking it. It tasted pretty good too. |

So, Alyzarin, have you had any results yet? |

Sounds cool. |

I may be telling people to 'suck eggs' here as you probably already know, or rain on anybody's parade; but here it goes anyway for anybody reading that doesn't. |

The side effects you've listed (aside from sensitivity to sunlight, which I have experienced from taking more than the recommended dose and it's very mild) are common to all SSRIs and require chronic use to appear, like at least two weeks or more. There is no risk of St. John's wort being used conservatively, like a couple times a week (as I'm always suggesting dream aids should be used >w<). Acute use has a side effect list comparable to placebo. |

St johns wort has been used as a remedy in ireland and england for over 2000 years. In all its time there has only been mild cases of digestive problems and one case of extreme sensitivity to sun light, coupled with the fact that we are not taking a medical dose of st johns wort nor the frequency it is unlikely we would notcie many side effects. |
