All,
I have had some amazing vivid and controllable LDs previously, between 5 and 10. Then I discovered supplements. I've read Yusack's book and done a lot of research/testing on myself. My routine is as follows -

high dose vitamin B complex and 1mg melatonin before sleep to surpress REM sleep in the initial stages. By now I wake up automatically without alarm after deep sleep after about 5 hours. I take 1x8mg/200mg choline (galantamind) + 300mg alpha-GPC. Fall back to sleep. On waking, I take 2400mg piracetam to help the reuptake of all the excess acetylcholine. I'll then take anywhere between 1 and 3 days off before trying again.

This works to give me several dreams/LDs/false awakenings every single time without fail. The problem is they are ALL really bad LDs, no matter what I try. The non-LD dreams are also very foggy and un-vivid. I seem to manage to find the delicate balance where I get to LD but have absolutely no attention span, or memory of the various techniques to stable and lengthen the LD whatsoever. I know the techniques and even remind myself through the day, look at your hands, spin, examine your surroundings, etc. When I'm in the LD though, I have no memory or attention span, and it's always very foggy, short and unstable.

These are not the bright, long, engaging LDs that I've had before. Is this because of the supplements? Am I not going to get much further with the supplements. It's really difficult for me to give them up because I can consistently induce an LD with them, but if that's what's holding me back, I might have to..?
