Hey. I recently got an iPhone 4. I was wondering if there are any good LDing apps... whether it be an app to play soft music at a certain time... or flash lights... or anything. Also, I'd rather not jailbreak my iPhone... so I'd prefer ones in the app store. |

Some over-priced binaural beat apps are the only things close unfortunately. I may design an app for the variation of DEILD CANWILD (goes off for 3-10 seconds playing any sound you want, then shuts off automatically) when I get a Mac. |

I recently downloaded Brainwave Dream Inducer for about .99 cents. It has several binaural beats that can lull you into a deep sleep (I tried it last night and felt all warm and floaty), and has a nice ambient sound feature so you aren't just listening to the beats themselves. I have yet to have a LD with it but I will keep using it until I get used to what it does. Cheers! |

Not quite LDing, but I find the SleepCycle app useful. |

I have not yet found a useful LDing app, and I've tried dozens. I still think it works best to just set my alarm once for about 3 hours after I go to sleep. I'm usually in a good place in my REM cycle at that point to just turn it off and go back to sleep and get lucid at some point later in the night. |

The AmbiScience 100 Beats & Tones app has been great for clearing my head, and creating passive awareness during a WILD attempt. I haven't successfully transitioned, but I've reached SP a few times now using it. It's 99cents and has a ton of binaural beats, isochronic tones and ambient sounds. There is also a countdown timer included (to shut off automatically after a certain amount of time), and an alarm function. I plan to try falling asleep to a beat/sound combination, and use the alarm to have the same beat/sound turn on at around 5am. |

I'm not sure if there's an app for the iphone too, but there's one for the ipod called "White noise lite". It has some looping quite noise sounds which work pretty well if you want to fall asleep or relax into SP. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
