1) I disagree, masturbation improves my dreams and all my lucids have actually been on days where I masturbated before sleep. I guess it depends on the person though, whatever works for you.
2) Interesting, I take multi-vitamin supplements daily, which include magnesium, and I actually started taking magnesium (alone, not a multi-vitamin) around about the time I started lucid dreaming, maybe there *is* a link.
3) Definitely agree, my two longest LDs were after nights of drinking and getting stoned (though, as you said, the latter on it's own = no dream recall, but when combined with alcohol it works wonders for me)
4) Disagree here again, I always eat not long before bed, and I tend to incorporate foods that boost dreams here, such as cheese, dark chocolate etc, and all my lucid dreams have been on nights when I've eaten within an hour or two of sleep - however once again, whatever works for you
Now to add other things that have helped:
1) WBTB - Sure, this is an obvious one, but a lot of people still don't do it. It's the most effective thing I've found. I've had 18 lucid dreams in total in my life, 10 of which were in the last 3 and a half weeks (when I started doing WBTB)
2) Spending a lot of time reading/writing about dreaming - Dreams function on the subconscious, so if you feed the subconscious plenty of info on dreaming and lucid dreaming, even if you don't apply it in your conscious waking life, just absorbing the information will definitely improve dream recall, clarity, and chances of lucid dreaming.
3) LD NLP mp3 - This is a half and half, I've not had any LDs while using the mp3 I'm using yet, but my dream recall improved and I remembered as many as 5 dreams in one night the other day (when the most I've remembered at any other point in my life is 3)
4) Psychedelics - These made me aware of the dream-like nature of even waking reality, and that the need to awaken to experience the real joys in life is of utmost important, they returned my desire to lucid dream, and they also helped induce many LDs themselves
5) Anti-cholinergics (Low dose) - A daily low dose of an anti-cholinergic, e.g. nutmeg or diphenhydramine can massively improve dream clarity and recall
