      Piracetam?

      Hello,

I've recently read Thomas Yuschak's book "Advanced Lucid Dreaming" and have ordered a few supplements he mentioned. One of the supplements is called Piracetam, which helps to prevent dependency on the lucid supplements. He suggests using Piracetam immediately after the WILD attempt for the best effects. Makes complete sense, however, I've read that Piracetam has some amazing effects on memory and focus when taken daily.

Now I'm debating whether or not to take Piracetam only after my lucid attempts, or everyday. Will it have the same dependency inhibiting effects if taken daily?

      Thanks for your help,

      Steve

I don't know too much about it, but in the videos I watched by Yuschak, he mentioned taking piracetam as a way of cleansing galantamine out of the body faster.

      Found this in another thread...

He says it has a half-life of 30 hours and any in your system at all will ruin lucid attempts.
I also recall Yuschak saying to never use any LDS more than once every 4 days... that will help reduce the possibility of building up a tolerance to the supplement.

I was taking Piracetam for some memory issues, and I can say that it also conditions the way of dreaming, it seems the dreams are more "vivid", maybe because it has a "side effect" to connect the conscious with the unconscious, and I think it's great for lucid dreaming. Just in these days I'm trying to combine the effects of the Piracetam with the lucid dreaming techniques, taking the pill just before going to sleep (the drug has is peak in the blood about 1 hour after taking it, so after I fall asleep the pill start his major effect).
For now I can say that the dreams seems different, I can't exactly express in which way, in some days I hope to can update this topic with more informations about my experiments with it
Also, for its effect of improving memory, maybe it can be useful for those techniques like MILD, tasks, or other memory-related.

Furthermore, I took 2-4 pills at day, during the exams session at university, but I don't know if it can cause some kind of inhibitions effect, because I take these pills only for a couple of weeks a time. I'll also update about this if I will have more informations...

dont take it everyday! you will get a tolerace to it and it wont have an effect
but dont be saddened, because getting a ld every 3 days is better then once a month. i never even had one yet ( i was close twice!)

The past night I've took a pill before going to sleep. The dreams were less fuzzy and confused then usual. Sadly I haven't a ld, but the strange thing is that I woke up after every dream, without using alarm or similar
And every time I've remembered the dream I was doing before wake, more easy then usual... Someone has experienced something similar?

For not to get tolerance I'll try to get it for 3 days and pause for 2.
