I enjoyed this a lot. It was great, and I think he really shows that 4chan isn't all bad. It's known for all kinds of child porn and stuff, but the child porn and stuff also gets taken down as soon as it's put up. I once saw a guy want a thread taken down, so he posted an image of child porn just so the mods would have to delete it.

You can't deny that 4chan is really really important to the internet. Think about it, what other fun organization has gotten people from literally everywhere to get together and say whatever comes to their minds? There's no reason why it should ever end.

4chan is one of the best things to come around since sliced bread or butt sex. The Anonymous activism is absolutely amazing, the way everyone comes together and gets shit done is astounding. 4chan and WikiLeaks are probably the two most important websites on the net right now imo.

Truth he speaks. It's pretty much the best, unfiltered representation of the internet and cyber-culture there is. I spend so much time just lurking through chanarchive.org now....

Chanarchive is no real representation of 4chan anymore. One of the best parts of 4chan is the fact that it is always changing.

I don't think chanarchive was ever a real representation of 4chan haha. That's not why I go there. It just isn't practical to sit at 4chan all day waiting for great threads to unfold. But you're right, there's nothing like watching an awesome thread evolve right infront of you.

Apparently that kid who abused the cat got away with it though because his dad owns some oil company and is friends with the towns deputy. So the kid basically got off scott free. Kinda sucks.

I would like to point out that this is literal here. There are threads about people killing themselves all the time, and some people are telling them good shit and some people are encouraging them and even giving them good methods. Most of the time the person isn't serious, but, given that it IS 4chan we're talking about, where anything can happen, I'm absolutely sure there have been quite a few that actually did it.
Once, stumbleupon brought me to an article about a guy who posted a thread about him robbing a jewelry store, and they had a screenshot, and it was definitely believable. It was either he actually did rob one, or he happened to own a jewelry store with jewelry he could bring home any fucking time he wants, and a big-ass gun.

I haven't heard that, but I am 99% sure that NO he did not go back to his owner.

I went to the the .gif board (I think?) and the first thing I saw was a naked, blindfolded woman standing on a chair with a noose around her neck and naked man giving her a "massage." I thought it was just kinky sex or whatever and then all of a sudden, when she climaxed, the guy pulled away the chair and ran out the door that was in the background. The woman writhed for a bit then eventually went limp and hung there for a few moments before the .gif started up again from the beginning.

I watched it a second time hoping I missed something and that it was fake but as far as I could tell, I had just seen footage of someone being hung. It bothered me for a while and it wasn't until a few years later that I gave the site a second chance. I don't browse it often but when I do, I stick to /v/ and /b/; I don't plan on going back to that section any time soon.

On the plus side, it (along with a few other gore pics I stumbled upon while browsing 4chan) kind of desensitized me to things like that so things like that no longer bother me as much.

Speaking of desensitizing, that was the main reason I originally went to 4chan. To get desensitized to all kinds of things. Gore and stuff. It worked for the most part, and now I just go there because I truly enjoy it.
