Well, every time I ask or post something some where on internet 75% of the answers or replies are attacks or total spam or nonsense! WHY!!! Even offline in real life some times people act like that (most of those people are in America, I think). That's so ANNOYING! Does anything happen to you like that?
Okay unnecessary comment about America...
As for online people, well... I haven't looked up the numbers (though now I'm thinking I should), but seems like a huge chunk of people who post online are either 11 years old or really socially awkward in real life and use the anonymity of the internet to act up. What'd ya expect? :P
It also really depends on what sites you visit.
You may want to work on your communication skills. Also, if you're uncertain about the location of people you interact with offline, in real life, there may be more serious issues.

If the questions you typically ask are as dumb as this one, the answer to your question seems a bit obvious. Have you ever considered that the common denominator in these situations seems to be you? Speaking only from the evidence on this board, you tend to be an extremely abrasive person, Stas. Frequently 'shouting' insults in all caps, berating people who believe differently than you do. You get what you give. If you are constantly hostile and belligerent, you will be much more likely to get hostile and belligerent responses, even in the few instances when you aren't being that way.

The average American citizen has an average IQ of 98, which is good for a tie for 19th best in the world. While this is well above average and among the best in the world, it's extremely low for an industrialized nation. There are 18 countries with a higher national IQ than the United States. Given Internet demographics, it's safe to say that the majority of posters on English-speaking websites come from industrialized countries. Out of the countries whose citizens are most likely to post on the Internet, the United States has one of the lowest average IQs.Quote:

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Most of the time, when I want to do something technically, I searched for answers on forums and stuffs, and usually people would reply a question with another useless question. And then there are the less useless but no more useful type of repliers that tell the questioner to try this and that, which won't work most of the time, and then after telling the person to go through all that, they disappeared from the thread, showing their uselessness after driving the questioner around in circle.
If americans really are among the most stupid posters on average, which I'm not sure of because I haven't done the reasearch, couldn't it be because people from other countries who post in English are at least bilingual and therefore more likely to have a higher education rather than it being due to a small difference in average IQs?Quote:

What is teh average IQ of your group of friends, Bboy500? That's a small sample size and certainly can't speak for an entire country.
I have no idea as I never asked anyone. But they get great grades in school (we are in the 12th grade atm, last year) all moving on to colleges, all play sports, go outside and all use forums daily. 2 of them are actually registered on this site. The point wasn't about IQ scores. The point was about having manners, using logic and not doing anything stupid. because at the end of the day if you use those 3 things online, you wont be a stupid poster.
