Just don't send too much at once. Increments of a few hundred dollars don't raise any flags, but if you send a few thousand or more don't be surprised if you find your account locked under the assumption that you've done something illegal. They're pretty notorious assholes.
what about cash?
I've put cash in my account and then immediately sent it to someone.

just saying :P Watch out with paypal... deffinately don't have too much money on it. Better yet find an alternative. You'll find bad feedback about paypal anywhere on the net.
Take a dollar bill and finely shred it (any standard blender will do). Press the mixture inbetween the "v b n" keys and the spacebar. Hitting the spacebar will transfer your funds in increments of four parts.
._.
You can't put cash into a PP account.
If your PP account is empty, you can put cash into your bank account, and then send a PP eCheck, which will take the money out of your bank account(instead of you having to manually transfer the money from bank to PP account). The receiver will get the money in 3-5 business days.
If you send an eCheck, and there is no money in your bank account, the eCheck will bounce.
what the hell are you talking about?
I meant put cash into your bank account, sorry. I do it all the time. I put cash into my bank account, then immediately send it to someone through paypal, no problem. I did link a debit card to it...maybe that's what you need to do?
You can put money into your bank account, but it won't be in your PP account. If you have your bank account as your "backup funding source" then you can send money and it will take it from your bank.
