Thread: I entered a staring match with my cat...

My dog actually meowed once. My mind was blown for days.

I frequently have staring contests with my cats. I can't have them thinking they're dominant or something...

One of my cats chirps.

My dog bit me because I was petting it.

I still have a tiny scar between my eybrows from MY cat.

I was smothering her 2 years ago...she still had front claws...

Though, LUCKILY, you can only see it if you're looking for it, and are super up close

My cat chirps too. I never seen another cat do it before, but apparently it isn't that uncommon.

You shouldn't be losing staring matches with pets, and you really shouldn't be letting them hit you when you do it. Its kind of embarassing for a pet to be dominate over a person.

My friend's cat usually starts acting like that when he needs to play. Batting and swatting and meowing, etc.

Unfortunately all his toys seem to keep going missing, and they have to keep making new ones. Usually a string with an old sock attached to the end for him to chase.

Really? I've never heard of any other people with chirping cats.

My mom's golden retrieve sleepwalks occasionally. I saw her once get up from her bed, walk straight into a wall and flop back down. I almost died laughing.

My cat thinks its a dog. And my dog is racist.

I find racist dogs to be hilarious. I used to know a guy who's dog would bark everytime a black guy walked past.

I taught one of my cats to jump up on my shoulder on voice command.

That's awesome! I wish I could get my cats to do that. I tried to teach them how to use the toilet. That didn't really work. They do come when I call them, though. At least, they come close enough to see if I have anything for them.

Well, he liked to be up there so it wasn't like I had to train him extremely hard or anything. I used to lean down a bit, and say the magic word "Hoppa!"! (which means jump in swedish) and he would jump up there.

My cats are insane

They're like 3 years apart and they fight all the time. They seriously like wrestle on the ground.

The younger one sleeps by my head though.

My oldest cat (female) sometimes flops around and looks all cute. Then when you go to pet her, she bites you.

My older cat is fat and incompetent, she generally displays sub average intelligence as well, but I lub her.

younger, newer model is an insufferable bitch.

I dunno. yesterday I put the fat old cat on my skateboard and rolled her all around my house. She seemed to like it.

o.o That sounds like fun! If I had a skate board, I would try that with my cat.

Or she thought that staring at her was intimidating and dominating somehow. And perhaps she likes being dominant herself. So perhaps she thought: "I'll show you who's the boss!"
