      Question Makeup on females

Guys, do you find women more attractive when they have makeup on or when they're not wearing makeup at all? Please state the reasons behind your vote.

Generally, (around 80% of the time) I dislike makeup on women. I like the more natural look a woman gives off when she's not wearing makeup. Shows me she has nothing really to hide and that she totally confident in who she is.

I'm not opposed to makeup. I think women are attractive when they wear lipstick and eyeshadow sometimes but the other stuff sometimes is just a bit much for me. I'm just a natural kind of guy.

      What about you?

I reckon makeup that enhances the nice features on a chick's face is nice. If it's not done properly, it looks horrid. Probably why alot of ppl say they prefer the natural look.

i'm not completely opposed to makeup, but i prefer it when a girl doesn't have any on.

but hey, emo girls can be kinda cute with that black stuff around their eyes

so it really just depends on who it is and how much they use. ha.

Most girls look ugly as hell without make-up, IMO. I'll go with the first alternative.

It depends on the situation really.

For example, nothing looks hotter than a girl fresh out the shower, wrapped in a huge towel or dressing gown, or just a little silk number, still a little wet with no make-up on. However, not many girls can pull off the completely natural look, so make-up does enhance their looks.

For me, I prefer very little. I love the morning look to a girl, when they're completely into you that they trust you to see them in the morning, that they know you'll still find her beautiful all natural and sleepy looking.

So I voted indifferent because I think a little looks nice when you're going out somewhere, but the baggy pyjamas natural look does it for me

      Either or.

Make up can look good on a girl, but sometimes it's a bit much or they didn't put on the right stuff.

I went 'impartial' because it's not that big a concern, but I do lean toward natural. It's a put-off for me when women devote too much time to hair, make-up, elaborate outfits and all that. Feeling like you can't leave the house without make-up strikes me as a mental condition akin to an eating disorder.

I told one of my Russian friends that I don't wear makeup. She couldn't understand why and I didn't have time to delve into the particulars.

I don't really know how to put on makeup besides the basics (lipstick, mascera). If prep requires more than 2-3 minutes (not including shower), it's too long. Get clean, brush through hair, (possible braid; likely hair sticks or pony tail), clothes... Boom, done.

Though I'm not a guy, I agree with the general concensus: too much makeup = bleh. Subtle is the way to go.

Personally I'm impartial when it comes to putting makeup on ourselves. Sometimes it suits and sometimes it doesn't. I do think it's annoying that a standard is being established of looking like a clown before you leave the house, though

Being a girl, I do wear makeup and eyeshadow, but I never go totally intense on it at all. I usually wear a tan shadow, so it is similar to my skin color. I hate it when girls wear bright, dark blues and stuff, gray can be ok. Plus, this is makeup every girl needs that LOOKS natural. I wear press powder, which reduces shine, without it, I am a shine fest. Just sayin.

I am attracted to girls who wear makeup, but I do particularly like the idea of a girl who is beautiful without makeup.

Below is a 1 minute video, produced to show how an average looking woman got transformed into a supermodel image, and ended up on a huge billboard. This is a campaign started by Dove to promote Real Beauty and help women with self-esteem.

looks like her head is shaped funny too. but anyway. No makeup....it just gets on my nerves when girls use it....get obsessed with it, and still think they look ugly. Yes, makeup can transform someone, but i'm not going to be waiting outside of the bathroom having to take a dump while it happens.

      No, I don't like makeup.

It's funny really, the only people who really care are women. They spend fucking ages obsessing over it without realising that actually... the vast majority of men don't even notice or care.

For example: 'eyelash extending makeup'. So many hours of advertising are devoted to eyelashes, it's bizarre; men don't care at all about how big women's eyelashes are. Whether it's a myth invented and propogated by makeup companies or women are more receptive to facial features, I don't know. I had a conversation with my sister once about it, and she was like, 'oh but it does make a difference, your eyes have so much more impact etc. etc.' and I was just like... 'no'.

It's funny how you guys tear apart Rihanna's appearance without makeup and then proceed to say you prefer no makeup on girls. Sometimes these negative comments make me wonder if it's a myth that men don't care as much as women think they do.

It's like this: guys use words like 'nasty' and 'ugly', and then wonder why women are so insecure.
