Thread: Tumblr

I just discovered this a couple of days ago. It seems very neat and minimalistic. Easy to join, easy to post, and several different kind of posts. (e.g. plain text, pictures, songs, quotes, chat quotes, videos, links)

For those who don't know, it's like a blog. Only slightly different.

Does anyone use this?

I've just gotten one, so far seems good. I particularly like the songs thing. And it's really not a hassle to make entries, as they can be a variety of things.

If only I had something interesting to blog about.

It can just be interesting pictures, songs, or quotes that you find. A lot of the tumblogs I've come across are solely pictures and songs. I think it's a nice way to collect such things.

I tried making a blog once. Nobody looked at it, and it was up for over a month, but I had no advertising, so go figure -.-

Tumblr's a shiny, hip version of Wordpress. You only become a somebody there if you're whored out by a famous blogger =\

Who cares about becoming famous? As I stated, it's a nice way to keep a record of stuff you come across. Whether someone else views it or not does not matter. (But anyway, that's how I see it)
