The Youtube video is kind of shakycam, but there are some pretty ballin' long-exposure pictures at the link. I don't know about the Russian rocket theory. It seems pretty clear to me that this is the work of aliens. I'm half-Norwegian; I would know.

I am not sure I'm convinced it is aliens... But it certainly is possible.

anyone know where the secondary blue-green spiral was leading to? may give some answers. I agree that aliens could have done it, but there may be a better solution soon.

Looked like nothing more than ball lightning to me. Ball lightning is a round ball of plasma, which can either eventually fizzle out, or explode.

You can create mini-plasma balls in your microwave by simply cutting a grape in half and turning it on.

Did you even watch the video? That looks nothing like lightning. It looks more like some kind of spotlight.

"Ball Lightning" is an atmospheric phenomenon. There are actually quite a lot of these phenomena in existence, many of which are hard to explain or else require more research to explain properly. Ball lighting is one of the rare few with a substantial explanation behind it.

(That glowing speck at the end is an example of such lightning)

Some forms of ball lightning have been known to explode, fly away, spiral out of existence, etc.

It still doesn't look like lightning to me. The shape of the circle looks way to smooth and it looks like the light it's producing points in a certain direction.

I didn't understand the significance of the light until I looked closely. I am
nothing short of amazed at the moment.

After looking at the zoomed in view, no way in hell is that a russian missle. Maybe a military project of some kind that was supposed to be classified and since people saw it, the reports will be a missle on some sources. I still think it may be an explosion of some kind. It starts going black at the middle and expanding outwards and most likely would look like that in space from here, no? Although the blue color...you got me on that.
