I would absolutely LOVE to attend this. I live in Florida, not 2 hours from Daytona/Orlando, it's the middle of the summer. If nothing else, I could even work up the funds myself.

The ONLY problem would be getting my parents to allow me.
If I can find some way over that (and it is a huge hurdle, trying to get them to let me go somewhere with a bunch of people I met over the interent

) I might just attend.

This has been talked about for at least a year (probably longer) even if I can't make it, glad it's finally happening.

Yea I'm the same, man.

What I would tell my mum and dad is "Well, I feel I need the life skills. I need to be able to go to another country myself. So I thought I'd go to america, check out the sights, you know"

I probably wouldn't mention DV.

all you have to do is say that you have an important meeting to attend... are you in highschool? if so, say you have a class trip, make a fake trip permission slip and get them to sign. hop on a bus, and yay!!!

It would be awesome if we had a DV meet up every year. Like a Dream-Con but on a smaller scale and not so 'Con'-ish lol... ok so more kinda like woodstock or spring break... hell i donno but a meet up every year would
