The "Moment of Silence" Thread

I have many friends on DV, some closer than others. I know that there are quite a few of them that are going through hardships in life. I'm sure many others are as well. I started this thread for people to come by and take a moment of silence out of their day and think about people going through difficulties on the list below. You can pray if you'd like, send out loving energy, or just take a moment out to think about them. It's up to you. You may also submit the name (last names not required, your choosing) of someone you know (as long as they do not belong to this forum) who you'd like for us to keep in our thoughts as well

If you'd like your name submitted on this list, please say so (or you can PM me instead). Reasons as to why you want your name (or someone elses name) listed are not important (unless you want to disclose that information). Your name will stay on this list until you want your name removed (I assume because things have gotten better).

If you're coming by to review the list and take some time out, you're more than welcome to post in here something to let everyone here know you're thinking about them. You may say something like "Keeping you guys in my thoughts", or "Praying for you all" but please try and refrain from making your comment specific to a certain person on the list. Everyone who is on the list in the first place should be in your thoughts, please stay mindful of that. So feel free to come by here and comment just so people will know you are caring and thinking about them.

i think i need to be on the list

i have been having alot of hardships and problems that you probably well know about already D:

My thoughts go out to all the people on this forum that are facing trouble in their life. I hope you all work it out.

Put me up on that list jeffy. You know i need to be on there.

Me too. I'm living with a schizophrenic mother right now. And i need to get her some help and medication. She tries to throw out good food because she thinks it's poison. I have to dig through my garbage every day.

You all are in my thoughts, I hope things start fairing better soon.

Hey, Jeff you over-active mod you. What is wrong with agreeing with the mother MoS is staying with? Most food is poison, in the sense that it does more harm than good. Think of all the hotpockets and sodium rich foods you've eaten. Think of the vegetables you've eaten that were genetically modified to resist the poisionous pesticides that get sprayed on them daily. Think of the steroids and growth hormones they feed chickens, cows and pigs...You wonder why the average male height has increased from 5'8 to 6'0...its obvious....Our diet is unhealthy, our diet kills people every day via heart disease, obesity, hypertension...Our diet is poison.

Add me to the list...because I eat this shit every day and I basically don't have a choice.

Still i'd rather eat THAT than starve to death. Still no excuse to throw out my food.

I have a few problems, since everyone is sharing theirs ill let mine flow.

In taekwondo there is a tournament called the U-24. If i compete there and win i get on the U-24 team where i compete internationally and help to improve my skills for the tkd National Team.

But i broke my foot.

I have been really over reacting about what my gf has been doing. She said she was insecure and now i know why, because im a dick who doesnt care enough. Lord knows i love her more then anything in the world but she just doesnt see that. But now, things are falling apart. We had an amazing day earlier but then tonight when we were at taekwondo (she does gymnastics there) she was not her self. She was very sad and when i sat her down she just screamed at me to go away because nothing was wrong. Then at the end of the day she just walked out and didnt say bye or anything.

NOW though i get a call. About 5 minutes ago. From her of course. She said that she didnt tell her mom that she was dating me (her mom hates me apparently, i have no idea why) and now her mom is forcing her to break up with me and to stop all communication. I have fallen for this girl more then i have any one else and NOW she tells me this? After she said she was insecure? So now she pretty much can only see me when i am doing TKD and she is doing Gymnastics. No more phone calls or hanging out or anything. And now i have no idea what to do. She has one more year before she is 18 and can do what she wants but for now she is stuck.

I just dont know what to do. She doesnt want to make me wait for her because its a long time from now and she wants me to be happy. And her mom is going to every class now to see if she hangs out with me. I cant talk to the mom because she hates me and wont hear me. She wont listen to her either.

Problems suck >=(

Oh, fuck... All you guys, I feel bad for you.

You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers.

With great adversities can come great victories. I know there are some strong people on here, and I'd like you to know that you have friends and support, even if it seems like they are far and few. I hope things look up for you all. :)

I've had some extremely hard personal trials this year and, on top of them, I found out last month that my entire dept at work is being outsourced to India and we will all be losing our jobs in November.

Please keep me in your thoughts/prayers so that I may find another job before (or very soon after) I lose the one I have now. Thanks. :hug:

Agreed. The usual lust just draws people in to get crushed. Fuck love is right. There is no point in trying to love someone when it is isnt even possible to do so. The whole point of love used to work in the old days, but now a days the whole theory just doesnt make sense. Nothing lasts forever anymore.

My quest for world domination has failed, and my powerful empire is falling before my eyes. My dad was just taken in an ambulance to Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital(neurological hosp.)... they say he's probably having a neurological episode. He felt like he "was leaving, like I was just going out" and he couldn't remember the month/day and he couldn't remember his cell number or basic facts like that.

Please send out prayers/good vibes/positive energy whatever.
