What is your favorite animal? (new version)

I know there has been a thread like this before, but the last post was in January of 2008. i would rather start a new thread then bump that one.

Anyway, what is your favorite animal, and what is your LEAST favorite animal?

For Me, i don't even need to tell you because you already know what it is.

I F***ing ADORE Peacocks. *∞ They are the most beautiful bird ever [in the history of the universe]. Period. When I dream I sometimes dream of them.

The next time i have a lucid dream, I am going to turn into a peacock, and then post about it in my dream journal.

      __________________________________________...

As for my Least favorite, i haven't really thought about it. i guess i would say fleas. fleas need to go to hell. period.

I love ducks, especially wood ducks, and cats. I love dogs too but I'd never, ever have one.

Peacocks are cool too. I have a peacock feather in my hat.

Aw yeah, hawks! I want a trained hawk as a pet!! And owls are cool - I had one in my front yard a few weeks ago. A tiger would be cool too, but would cost too much to feed.

Oh oh oh and I forgot about squirrels! I've never met one though.

I hate to play favorites, but I particularly enjoy cuttlefish, octopi, cardinals, owls, horses, dogs, and cats(large and small) for one reason or another.

Don't have a least favorite, they're all pretty great in their own way.

If it can be extinct, then I'd have to add the T-rex to my list. And velociraptors because they're so cute.

wolves are my all-time favorite animal ever!!!!!!!! then come horses who are tied in second with tigers, and then deer, eagles, ravens, otters, hawks, domestic cats and dogs, owls, and dragons in no particular order.

my least favorite animals would have to be wasps, creepy spiders(some are alright),ants, red squirrels, chipmonks, eels, bush babys, lemurs, and raccoons.

      I'm sure it's obvious.
But yeah, wolves are my most favorite.
      then crows.

cant really think of a least favorite at the moment.

Kittens, with a clause of rainbow wrestling. Other than that, pandas... Wolves... Bunnies... And delphins, of course.

As for least favorite... Fish. Because fish hate me, so they can suck it... Bastards.

      i love white alsations/german sheperds
and i would have to say the worst would be those really deformed looking fish deep in the ocean. they are so ugly its just scary.

im not a big fan of peacocks myself, there isnt really much special about them, my favourite bird would be hawk or eagle, and i fucking hate crows and seaguls with a passion.

infact, maybe my favourite animal is cows. i love me a nice big fillit steak.

Pretty much in order of descending awesomeness. (Though all still awesome.)

      Dragons:

      Velociraptors:

      Tigers:

      Wolves:

      Dolphins:

      Hawks:

Then domestic dogs, followed by domestic cats, and then everything else.

      Least favorite?

      Love the pictures!!

I love wolves because when I was into witchcraft/spiritism the wolf revealed itself to be "my" animal.
I love birds because I was miserable as a kid. My parents were ALWAYS fighting and I would go outside and climb to the top of a really huge slide and spend hours whistling with the black birds that would sit as far as the eye could see on the power lines. The birds, in fact, taught me how to whistle. I'm still the best whistler I've ever known, though I've gotten out of the habit somewhat because others find it annoying lol

When I lived in Florida, I was a "monkey" and tended to spend most of my time in a huge oak. I would run across the branches and jump onto and up other branches. I loved that tree and have never seen another quite like it. But I discovered a really cool "bug" that I've never been able to identify. It looked like moss but moved. ??? I thought it was AWESOME lol

      **Edit**
If I had seen the little more closely or without it's moss, I probably wouldn't have liked it all these years.
It seems to have been a Brown Lacewing. Here's a pic http://www.beautifulbugs.com/beautifulbugs/barkbug.htm

Falcons are pretty badass. I also like crows, ravens, pretty much anything that will peck your face off is cool in my book.

      this is easy

      DOG

a pet much better than a cat, screw all you cat-lovers, they don't play with you, and their licks feel like sandpaper

used to be a moose for real. Now I don't even know.

A lot of people have a fetish with wolves. I really don't know why. I know they're supposed to be seen as mysterious and all that jazz, but in reality... they kill for sport. they're vicious, that seems like enough to make me not like them all that much

dolphins being a favorite is always so cliche, but at the same time they're so friendly and intelligent and I think it's sweet how they're one of those species that mates for life.

Therefore, the relationship between the reality of it and peoples' views on these animals as some kind of "symbol" for something is kind of ruining it for me. i just don't know what to think anymore
      ha that sounded mellowdramatic.

Since when do wolves kill for sport? I thought it was the complete opposite, especially considering how very low the probability of a single hunt ending up in a kill is.

really? I've always heard that, from news reports to stories of people who moved to my town from Alaska and tell about seeing packs of wolves killing deer and just leaving it (which, yes, I have had a friend tell me stories of when he lived in Alaska and was out hunting and saw it happen). But I guess I couldn't be sure since I haven't actually witnessed it myself... I just always thought that's what they did

That's interesting, I haven't heard that. But then again I suppose it heavily depends on the availability of food in any particular area. I just remember seeing a special by David Attenborough on various animals and their hunting techniques and success rates. As I recall wolves had pretty much the lowest success rate... or at least one of the lowest, alongside the cheetah and stuff like that.
