If you had 24hrs left to live, what would YOU do?

Just picture this... A giant comet is heading straight into Earth in a mere 24 hours, and there is nothing this planet can do to stop it. What would you do? Be with your family, go crazy and panic, or have fun?

I would roll around on a motorcycle with a shotgun and start blowing shit up, screw a few chicks to relieve myself of the pressure around me, break into any store I want and take whatever, eat lots of sushi, and at the end of my escapade I would pray for forgiveness.

I would find myself in the last moments. However I accepted death long ago, which has lead to a greater understanding of life. I would enjoy the time soaking in what this world has to offer, before departing to the next.

I would as much as I could not until the time is gone.

Well I'm not sure, but that is the answer I am giving, because in my mind it is hard to picture, because such a catastrophic event (giant meteor or comet hitting the Earth) has been the topic of so many "sci-fi" movies and books, and we have had some large meteors and comets pass close by to the earth, and it is one of the theories as to how the dinosaurs became extinct; that most assuredly, at least the governments of the most powerful nations have some kind of plan in place should such an event unfold.

Problem is, a space shuttle and some nukes wouldn't work. The meteor wouldn't blow up...

I'd set off two nuclear bomb on either side of the Earth spinning it off of it's axis and then when it moved far enough away so as not to get hit by the meteor (it wouldn't even definitely hit Earth) then I'd fire off another two bombs to hit it back again. And then after that I'd do the same to the Moon so it came back to the Earth again...

Won't work.

My Plan.

Drill into the meteors core and load about 4 nukes. Then place nukes at key points. And blow the the thing to hell.

Ahahaha, you all have it wrong.

Most people with ANY sense at all know that the ONLY way to stop a meteor is to gather all the people in the world to the place where the meteor will hit, and get them to catch it and throw it back into space.

Have either of you noticed that Ophelia is male? Or am I missing out on a huge 'yay! let's select the wrong gender for my profile' plot here. I think the latter is more likely. I'm slow. Slooooooow.

Besides, the whole question is unfavourable; you wouldn't be able to do anything useful because the whole world would erupt into riot, in which case I'd lock myself in the bedroom hoping some loon won't shoot me in the face with a shotgun 'cos he thinks that'll help him in the afterlife. Trust me, I've shot someone with one of those, and after a few shots you get nauseous with all that gore and have to sit down and have a cup of tea (before you report me, it was in a dream, and it was a zombie).

I'm digressing. How about 'You have an terminal illness with no adverse symptons and the doctors give you a convenient deadline of 24 hours'?
