Oh, flaming is so much fun.. isn't it?

Anyhow, I saw the video on Kotaku, and I thought you guys would like it. It's okay to laugh at his hobby, because it's freaking nerdy. Sure, I play Halo just as much as the other guy, but come on...

Go play Halo 3, reload a few weapons, use the sword, and then go watch his video. He copies the movement exactly. It's pathetic. Like, spend that time on something else. He really could be a great designer or engineer, but he wastes time making cardboard Halo weapons instead of actually learning the tools of the trade.

And yes, Youtube is a fortress of flaming, we all know that. That's because Youtube is failure altogether.

Like I said before, I could probably recreate the movements for the character Nightmare from the Soul Caliber games pretty accurately... I played him that much so I kinda figured out how he moves (and how best to use him, muah hah hah haa!). And if the opportunity arose, I would probably do a cosplay of the character just for fun at some convention or something.

But yeah, he could spend more effort learning how to design props more professionally, as with cardboard, he did a fairly decent job.

Youtube is Fail condensed. Though it is still an unpure form of fail, it is a very dense mass of it.

You could just see a really fat dude under that elite costume, and both he and the little kid were screaming "I need more positive, healthy outlets for my creativity."

A bet $100 the kid is homeschooled. As a victim of it myself, I can vouch that you really would have nothing better to do. Although I think my creative outlets were a little different.

And the kid is like 10, what's up with all the comments about him needing a girlfriend?

Are you kidding me? His prose was coherent, and I understood exactly what he meant when he used that word. Are you trying to make a point about the relative severity of the historical treatment of some groups? If so, is being an asshole to someone in an unrelated thread really the way to go about it?

Agree. This kid has a passion for a video game, and has put his mind to it and created something that reflects that. He probably derives a fair amount of enjoyment from it. As you said, who are we to judge? Nevertheless, he does appear to be wearing a cardboard jockstrap.

What!?!?!?!?!? Now people are cosplaying the worst game ever?!?!?!?!?!!! Hes not a nerd for cosplaying. But he IS a nerd for cosplaying this game. He needs to look else where for a good cosplay. UGH! I hate Halo. The weapons are pretty cool though. He did a good job on them. And its not a problem that he made them out of cardboard. He is very creative for that and probably paid next to nothing to make them. Overall the quality was good, but hes a nerd for cosplaying Halo....
