Alcohol itself certainly isn't the most dangerous drug. There are more dangerous things that fuck you up much quicker.

The problem is, if you take [# users] x [danger] then that's highest for alcohol and cigarettes. Those are the two major dangerous drugs of society right now. LSD, shrooms or cannabis are a joke in comparison. Something like H is another topic though.

But yea, you're right, alcohol and cigarettes are the worst, I sort of ignored cigarettes because of the way they don't have so much of a clear psychoactive effect like alcohol does.

Yep. The problem of alcohol being misused is because it's so widely available and taken by almost everyone.
But then, think about if alcohol didn't exist at all, think about if it was cannabis that was legal and was used by just the same amount of people.

Do you the think cannabis would be as big a problem as alcohol is now?

I voted no. I see the point, and I actually do agree that of all the drugs you can take, alcohol is the most widely used, and much more dangerous than certain pot-named illegal ones that shall remain unnamed p**cough*o*cough**t.

However, I don't believe there is such a thing as a drug that's damaging society. There are only irresponsible people, and alcohol speeds up the consequences of their irresponsibility, often at the expense of others (which sucks).

the question doesn't really make any sense. are you asking if alcohol is the drug that has damaged society the most? or are you asking if alcohol is potentially the most dangerous for us to have in our society?

i think its the most harmful drug that gets monitored the least

Drinking small amounts can be helpful to lifestyles, but this is almost never the case on a night out.

It's certainly the most accessible. In a friendly tin can right next to your childhood friend soda-pop. It's all too prevalent in most entertainment media. We make it look so appealing, and that's where the desire stems from.
