Heh, I don't have a video, I just did audio recording. We're waiting for the other contestants... apparently no one else has made contact with LS besides you and me.

I think I could have gotten it down perfect, if I did another take or two, but I was using old batteries and I knew they would die in a matter of moments, so I had to just upload what I had.

I planned and practiced about 90% of it, and then everything from 3:00 and on is improvised.

Hey, pretty good man. That was probably a smart thing to do what with the planning out a routine. I just winged the whole thing, some parts are pretty good, some aren't. Here's mine.

Tell me what you think. Not bad for me having not played a funk riff in my lifetime as well as making it all up on the spot!

Not bad, man. I like the second half the best. A little rough here and there, but definitely good stuff, for being a complete improv.

Oh yeah, definately some rough patches. I only had two or three takes and this one was the best, so I did a bit of overdubbing (just at the beginning). Couple more and I would've been gold.

Sorry about all the messing up of this, i have been very busy unfortunately and not had much time for anything.

Mine is recorded and i am going to upload it when i get a few spare minutes, i'll likely do it as soon as i wake tomorrow.

Also, it looks like its just Me, O and CB in this since ranma pulled out and i've heard nothing from Carou or b12.

I'll post it up tomorrow and we'll see how things go from there, once again, really sorry about this, its difficult to predict how much time i have free now, sorry. Lets hope the voting will begin tomorrow.

Good job you two, mine sucks, i did an improv and stuck around the same area, it gets very repetitive But i'll get it uploaded and we'll begin the proper voting tomorrow if that is cool with you guys. I'll create a thread and put all the submissions in as well as a poll.

I haven't had time to record, with school and all. I had a badass riff going on too, i wish you guys could here it. Late or not, i'm going to record some stuff tomorrow to show you guys.

So - when IS the next one and what's the subject/genre/style? Are we allowed to use something other than pentatonic scales? I love blues/funk, but that's really not my strong suit.

Task

Area - Rhythm Guitar

This week the task is to play a complex rhythm guitar part. You can play the chords to your favourite song, or even come up with a complex chord structure, however it must be a complex rhythm guitar part. By complex i am meaning something that will be a challenge for you to learn, something that requires time and effort to master, something that you know has a complicated rhythm. Also, when i submit them i would like a written description of how the part you played was complex. This recording must be more than a minute long, it can be just a minute but preferably more than a minute.

Style - For this task you can play in any style you wish.

Deadline - End of Friday

So, in summary, for the end of Friday i would like;

- A submitted video or audio recording which includes you playing a complex rhythm guitar part, also include a description as to why the rhythm guitar part is complex.

For all those interested, please PM me so i know who to add to the new voting thread when its made.

Post your submissions in this thread along with the description i requested. Once the deadline is over i will compile all the submissions and post them on new voting thread.

Guys.. on behalf of all dial-up customers who find it very hard to download vids, could I make a request that you also post links to an audio-only track? I'd really appreciate that.. they are easier to download and listen to, if, like me, you don't have broadband..

I find it strange that people were all enthusiastic about it but when i tell them what the next competition is, nobody replies except for CB.
