Thread: Tell Me what Super-Powers you'd have

well... if i had to choose specific powers...

the power to always spell things right (i suck @ spelling)
invisibility
time stopping
flying
telekenisis (or the force, though the former is less nerdy)
telepathy
the ability to make things besides me invisibe(i want that chair to be invisible*poof!*)

Invisibility fits my personality quite well I think. It'd be fun to sneak into places I'm usually not allowed.

I guess the power of fire...

I don't mean like completely make myself into fire...wait stracth that idea

Omniscience means I'd know how to get every other power, and do whatever I wanted.

So yeah omniscience.

...though then I would know about everything, meaning I would know about things that are unknowable, thus making me not all knowing...and I'd know how to make a puzzle that I couldn't solve...

But then you would know a way of not letting your head implode!

Mmm, probably should have specified space-time control, though one infers the other!

If you think about it, it would allow access to a wide range of things:

Teleportation
Super speed (slow down time, whilst you move at normal, or stop it completely). Dodge those bullets!
Healing/Regeneration (reverse time on a wound/the body's cells, use it to repair a specific object, heal someone else)
Time travel (duh)
Large wealth! (Win that lottery!)


It would also make you theoretically invulnerable within your circle of awareness.

In a lucid dream though, I think telekinesis and flight are on the list of the first things to try. Might be interesting to stop dream time though; I've done it in a non-lucid dream. Interesting experience.

Well... if knowing everything there is to know would replace you with God, than yes.

That wouldn't be my goal though...

Most definitely telekinesis, maybe paired with flying.

I have had a very strange collection of what one could call "powers" which are usually based on a certain character including Shadow The Hedgehog (I could use "Chaos Control" to wake myself up whenever desired when in a somewhat Lucid state) I have also had powers resembling a Power Ranger and Smallville's Clark Kent.

hmm well basically the power to do what ever i wanted i suppose, is that being Omnipotent?

How i would use it..... Well for a start i wouldn't let anyone know i had these powers, apart from maybe maybe maybe my best friend. Though i doubt it.

For the most part i'd do nice little things nobody would notice, maybe if someone lost something i'd make it appear near them somewhere, if someone was short changing 50p would be on the floor under them, etc.

I'd probably make money appear in my hand, nothing crazy, but maybe an extra £10 or so if i'm going out somewhere. Generally i'd use my powers to make people happier, but so it didn't seem un-natural and expose me. I think it would unbalance the world and make it very unstable if everyone knew there was a force like me.

On the flip side in a way, i have always been disgusted by certain groups of people, child molesters, rapists, thugs who beat innocent people to a pulp for no reason other then their sick pleasure. So although everyone always says that a life for a life is not fair. Sometimes i think the do onto others as you would have them to onto you should apply.

Obviously i would not degrade myself and rape a rapist or anything like that. But i would make them suffer. Mentally, psychically, maybe both it would depend on my mood.

I might make them hallucinate severely, see their limbs covered in bleeding sores, possibly simulate the pain, resulting in them screaming in agony on the floor scratching their skin off, when none of it was real. I probably wouldn't kill them, just balance the scales of justice if you will.

Maybe i'd transform myself into razor wire and give them a nice tight hug, just the little things to make them pay for hurting the innocent. It seems fair to me, they lost their rights when they took away others.
