Thread: Tell Me what Super-Powers you'd have

I would like to have the power to turn wishes to reality. That way, I can have all the powers I want and much more.

Okay, now I know this is going to sound like a kid thing, but what kind of super power would everyone like?

I'd love the ability of cyberkinesis (telemetry) which is the ability to manipulate electromagnetic waves such as radio, internet etc. That would be so cool! I could be my own internet hub.

I am pretty sure this had been made before, but for the purpose of contribution, invisibility and the power to make people orgasm on contact.

Anyway, I would also like to say I would like the ability of agrokinesis (plant manipulation), that would be handy in growing your own food and stuff.

I guess casting lightning from my fingertips would be my favourite since I did it in a lucid I'm completely fond of that one.

Well in the field of parapsychology there is a small branch of study called psionics (the ability to manipulate things with the mind) and in this field the use of the word "kinesis" attached at the end of a word denotes a psionic ability (e.g. aerokinesis: - "aero" Greek for air (It is either Greek or Latin, I can never remember ) and "kinesis" - to move something from afar. So together, aerokinesis means to manipulate air molecules/the wind).

All forms of words with kinesis on the end are simply someone who wants to make it sound special. Telekinesis/psychokinesis are the original word and really the only difference is that you're picking a specific item to cling too. -)

Actually, kinesis is not movement from afar, but just movement, it has nothing to do with mind or distance. I agree with Sandform, that those names are not really correct - from the greek word seen - but they sound cool that way.
I mean something like air-through-mind manipulation sounds a little bit long

Who cares anyway about the words? If we're just gonna talk about the contraversy over naming abilities, then it will slowly but surely drift to an off-topic discussion.

• speed-reading via osmosis
• photographic and infallible memory
• meditational time-travel
• incredible instincts, bordering on ESP
• mind powers [advanced thought and energy projection/telepathy/autosuggestion]
• ability to incapacitate without the use of weapons [never kills or maimes, but can cause pain if necessary...mostly emotional]
• acute sense of justice and mercy
• cunning/inconspicuousness/subtlety
• ability to breathe underwater, underground, and in outer space
• communication with plants, the dead, and inanimate objects
• little-to-no carbon footprint
• seeing/hearing beyond [like in "The Giver"]
• gargantuan music collection, singer in an obscure band
• always a snappy dresser

Also, my alter-ego would be named Tell Monday.

Yeah, it's a long list. But hey, a girl can dream...
