Well this christmas im gonna be celebrating hunnakuah................
I will be working a bit throughout the holidays, people give good tips and everything plus it's triple pay during New Years Eve ect and double pay on boxing day.
I won't be working on Christmas though, I will spend it with my family, possibly my 2 nans will come round. I think in the evening we are going to my mum's friend because she hasn't got her children on that day and will be alone.
I will be enjoying all of the good spirits of Christmas while genuinly celebrating Hanukkah...
Is everyone at Dreamviews Jewish? :P
I'm not christian either so I'll be doing nothing special, maybe sleeping in.
Opening presents and getting on here to complain about how tired I am from getting up early (to open presents:banana:)
Sleeping in and eating like a pig.
gettin trashed and recieving presents. maybe give one present or so. nah, just recieving.
Shoveling.
No but really, I'll just be staying home and enjoying a good dinner with my familly. I go back to my hometown for New Year's and party.
Nothing really. Will be going out Christmas Eve to Oceana (a club here) with all my friends, its tradition, we all go out in santa fancy dress with a bag of sweets, for you know....
And then Christmas day, depending on my circumstances would be either with someone, or on my own.
I like to stay in bed all day, watching crappy telly and snuggling, and would really like to rent a cabin in Scotland - I wanted to do it last year but they girl I was seeing then, didn't fancy it. So this year, maybe get the chance to do it. Would be awesome to mess about in the snow in the middle of no where in a log cabin :D
Oh and I LOVE to buy gifts for people and spoil them, last year I spent a tonne on my girlfriend and family and the look on their faces when they get their gifts :D
me and my friends are going to hang out and get drunk off our asses and just have fun i am not going to have anything to do with my family.
I'll be out here in Seattle. Trying to get my dad to fly out, since he's never been here. It's looking good so far. I've decided to only fly back every other year. The stress of holiday flying is too ridiculous, nad it's hard to get time off work right around the holidays, due to the nature of work.
I'm going to get extremely obese. :P
My family seriously has like 3 huge dinners in a week, 2 of them with the same people. Why we can't have just one is beyond me...I guess we just really like food.
Quinsepia, sounds like you're in the festive spirit...I like that idea...in my family the food is the holiday pretty much...and the high point.
:banana:I won't eat until 2009.
This is not fair, anyone got space for a little one on Christmas day?
This christmas I'm working for my sister at a ski resort and living with her pot dealer boyfriend so its gonna be sweeeeet.
How Christmas generally goes here:
I wake up first at some ridiculously early hour, open my stocking. Play with whatever's in there this year for about 5 minutes then go back to sleep until about 8:30. I then go downstairs to my parent's bedroom and my sister joins me and we open each other's presents on their bed. Then we all go and get dressed and have breakfast. I proceed to open all my presents gradually throughout the day and then either we go over to our neighbour's house or they come over here for Christmas dinner. Blah blah blah we while the time away until it's time to go to bed.
Last year us teenagers (me, my sister and the two kids next-door) had to do the entire washing up for Christmas dinner. That's 10 people and 3 courses and all the pots, pans cutlery everything. I was seriously pissed off. That is not what is happening this year.
Is that not a little selfish? What if your parents turned round and said: "Last year we had to buy all the presents, and do all the cooking for 10 people, we were pissed off, that is not what is happening this year!"
Or are you just used to having everything given to you on a silver plate?
Sounds like my conventional Christmas. :(
I'll be in a downtown nyc pawn shop purchasing a crossbow and other supplies for the hunt in my next destination... :|
No my point was that that could've easily, nay, should have waited until Boxing Day. There's no sense ruining the festive spirit like that. The aim of Christmas is to have a good time, in my opinion.
Also, both my father and I really enjoy cooking and use it as a bonding exercise so I don't see how that would be a problem and get in the way of people being happy.
Would they let you go through an American aeroport with a crossbow?
Would it matter if you were leaving? If they knew you were going to Slovakia, they'd probably give you reloads.
