Thread: You+Musical instrument=??

Well? Inspired by Aqua's recent posting of a video playing piano I think its nicee to make a thread here rather than in the artists corner where you can showcase if you play an instrument or not to non-artistic types or whatever.

You can say what you play or you can make a video or you can just record something for us, either way, it'd be nice to see.

I'll start off by doing one of playing piano and then drums. Now let me go find a camera : /

I play the electric guitar and i like bluesy stuff, like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, not as much Jimi though, i'm also a fan of playing Santana styled soloing, i tend to improvise alot of the time, i'll go and record something now actually I'll post it very soon!

I'm a DJ so play the decks - not really an instrument but still, I make music with them for peoples entertainment - I would post a video but I don't think there would be much of a call for the music I play.

My pieces are always quite simple. I really like the more gothic stuff though...I'm trying to learn Vincent's Theme from Corpse Bride. I might also take a video of me playing I Cannot See His Color, from The Village. Though, it was hard to interpret because it's all violins.

Hehe, I feel left out of the improv club... Does anyone else just enjoy playing some damn sheet music ?

Me on the violin... I'm in an orchestra which had it's first practice of the [school] new year today. We're playing Brukner's 4th Symphony I think.
By myself at the moment I'm playing a Concerto by Vivaldi and a Piano and Violin Sonata by Dvorak.

That's awesome. I have the sheet music for Victor's solo, my sis bought it for me for christmas but I haven't really checked it out until recently. I really really really wish I had someone to play Emily and Victor's duet with...I think it's so beautiful.

Hm. heres a far flung idea.

Do you have the music for that.. if so, then if you can maybe find a way to record emily's part, i can record victors and we can put them together or something.

Its the next best thing to playing it.

Carôusoul, It sounds cool. I love minor keys because they are so well suited for emotional themes like that.

Okay fine, but its an improvisation, i made it up as i went along so i was bound to make mistakes, let me upload it and i'll edit this post
