Thread: What Should I Buy?

Hey everyone. Well after working a summer job, I will have about $2700-$3000 to spend. I have thought about it a lot, and I've concluded that I dont know what I want to spend it on. I want it to be something cool that I can actually use. Not any movies or something like that. Any ideas on what to buy? What would you do with the money?

If you have money and can't think of anything to spend it on, DON'T SPEND IT. As soon as you do, you'll realize what you really wanted to use it for.

That is indeed good advice, just shortly put.
If you don't have needs, don't spend vast resources just to spend them. Sure, it may not seem all too great at the moment to keep the money and save it up but when the moment hits (and it will hit) that requires such funds, you'll be very glad that you have them.

I can't tell you what to do with your money but I know what I'd do. Clothes! I don't know how long $3000 would last though, since last time I went to town I took £150 and came home with one shirt and a pair of jeans.

Anyways, I think the first two posters are right. You'll think of something that you really want eventually.

How about a CD? I mean a bank CD.

I'm not really a clothes guy. Yeah I guess its really pointless to spend money if I dont need to. I'm sure I'll just end up putting it into the bank.

a loser for not spending money and getting interest off it, nope.

But you could use $1000 to buy a good HDTV....:p
