Thread: The best story ever. Or not. But pretty cool. It involves water and a house.

So, I like live in this house with a bunch of other students. Blabla. I woke up last Saturday morning. Nothing strange, but I heard a weird dripping sound, and the sound of water running through pipes. I was like, wtf, is like the tap in the kitchen broken or something.

Anyhow, I open my door. BAM. Water coming out of the lamp that hung at the celing, like half an inch of water on the floor or the hall, good thing it ran into the cellar and not into my room. I walked up the stairs, water was dripping down everywhere. The hall of the 2nd floor was pretty freaking wet too, all the walls had trails of water on them, and you could see where the water leaked though the ceiling. So, one more set of stairs, it appeared the toilet on the 3rd floor broke, or at least the water-tank-thingy, it didn't stop refilling so it seeped out of the tank onto the floor, down the stairs ect.

Luckily there was an easy switch next to that water-tank-thingy. Not like that stopped water coming out of the ceiling for the next half hour, but eventually it did.

Now our walls smell BAD. Probably there is fungus growing and we are going to die. Ah well. Luckily only the halls got wet, no ones rooms.

Still, Major WTF-moment, to see water dripping out of every crack in the ceiling.

NO I didn't found it a good time at the moment to take pictures. But it's true and shit.

Anyone else ever got like a broken water-pipe or something, screwing them over even more? And anyone knows how bad having wet walls (with wallpaper on them) for like a few weeks? : )

Hope you did a bunch of RC's, that's really weird. Sounds like one of the Three Stooges episodes, with water coming out of the lamps. I don't guess it was shooting out of the stove burners too?

Hope you don't have health problems from the fungus, that's kind of nasty. Maybe you should move out for a while.

I have a friend in Houston, and his water pipes broke, and since his walls all buckled and messed up the house.

I didn't do as much RC's as I should have It was very weird. Also, I never are the the fucked up areas of the house for more then 1 minute at a time, so I don't think I will get AIDS or something. : )

Anyhow.

It wasn't fun when I was mopping the floor, but it is pretty cool in retrospect. ^__^

Oh, it did? I wanted to see it, guess it's OK I missed it.

No Neruo, I don't think you can get AIDS from fungus, unless it grows on your condoms or something. I was thinking of respiratory problems and allergies and stuff. I'm allergic to mold so I'm paranoid of it.

Haha. I know you can't get AIDS from fungus, not even if it grows on my condoms (it sooo much did). The word "AIDS" is slang for 'any random negative word or disease'.

At least in MY dictionary. : )

Anyhow. The walls are pretty dried up by now. It smells a bit, but it always did. I think it'll be fine. Also, the freezer unfroze when the power went out (all weekend), so that is ice-free now too. : ) (ok, and some people had there pizzas ruined, boo-hoo).

Also, I haven't seen "Dark Water", but it sounds as good as a bad rob scheinder movie. (only then a horror movie).

Yea, and when you want to clean, you can just hose everything off.

I've seen the movie Clarity. That was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw this topic too.
