Personally, I don't use pick-up lines. If some guy is hot, I just walk up to him and say "Hey, I think you're really attractive." Conversation usually picks up from there. Guys tend to like getting their egos stroked.

Hasn't really worked so far, but then again:
1. I'm not looking
2. Every guy I've thought was even a little bit hot is either
a. Not single
b. a complete asshole
or
c. gay
3. I'm dog-ass ugly and guys tend to let me know that I'm dog-ass ugly

whoever says that I will mess up their face so bad that they WILL be dog-ass ugly.

I personally dont like "pick up lines", the name itself indicates how much they suck, so unless you wanna be "picked up" I dont like em =P

Im not the kinda person that steps up to a random person to pick them up..rather, just start a convo about somethign that actually means sense at the point(if you wanna get to know that person)..and if you are dealing with somebody you know, be romantic, be creative =) At least, Im sensitive for that, a pretty rose does the trick. A lovely rose, for a lovely person I'd say..

A lovely rose for a lovely person, hey, you deserve a truckload of roses so lovely are you, and your much more beautiful then any rose this planet has ever produced, besides, your a sweet sugar heart ^_^ Which is much more important then looks, I fall for that easier then any kind of looks =)

Awww. ^_^ Paperdoll is my hero! Seriously, I don't even let it bother me anymore. I honestly don't give two shits whether some idiot I barely know thinks I'm ugly or not. No loss to me, just to him.

Oh, and I don't know if this is a joke or something or if someone really is trying to pick me up, but every now and then when I get out of work and go to my car, I'll see flowers tied to my mirror. I'm talking, like, carnations and lilies and roses and stuff. O_o I have no idea who is doing it and knowing the guys that I work with, I'm not sure that I want to know!

By the way, did anyone ever wonder where pick up lines came from? And whether or not they actually worked at one point in time?

or simply "Hi."
