seems to be more of a ploy against same-sex marriage though, but DAMN!!!!
its all so ridiculous. i seriously doubt this law will actually pass, but the fact that somebody even came up with it is disturbing.
there's even a video about it on CNN's website.

"heterosexual couples [should] have kids within three years or else have their marriages annulled."

Well I do get the point. Anti-gay-marriage people are jamming about how marridge is for kids bla-bla, but a lot of them don't have kids after they are married.
I think most gay people Don't adopt, it seems silly to not let gay people marry 'because marriage is holy blabla children blabla' bla.

I think the people getting the law on the ballot would be just as horrified as your social conservatives if the law was passed. It's quite a clever move which clearly highlights the whole fallacy behind "marriage is for babies [and babies you cannot have]" reasoning that anti-gay-marriage people tend to use.
I sort of expect it to just be laughed off, though.

I agree. This is like the Flying Spaghetti Monster argument shown here.
I personally don't see anything wrong with same-sex marriages, isn't it just a way to show one's commitment to someone.
It is definitely a very very very silly law, but I think that is the aim of it. If it is a fight for Same-Sex marriage, I wish them the best of luck in their fight. I think anti-same-sex marriage is just as silly as this one.

I don't think anybody should be able to get married. I don't think it's any of the government's business one way or the other. If they want to do it in their church, fine, whatever, but why the legal contract? I don't care if somebody tells somebody else they will stay with them forever, and then they leave. Sounds like a personal problem to me. I protest the government wasting time and money on enforcing these laws.
So I propose a law banning all marriage.
