      Yes. So yesterday I woke up with a bit of a sore throat. Not dry at all, but I still had a hacking cough and a bit of a pain.

      Remedy: Going to a "Battle of the Bands" sort of thing at school and cheering on one of my best friend's bands ... loudly.

      So today it hurts like fuck. What are your more-effective-than-above remedies for a sore throat? Because I hate them with a passion.

      Drinking tea about 4 times a day was the only thing I could do for temporary relief when I had strep throat last week. That, and sticking a popsicle halfway down my throat, lol.

      Chloraseptic (topical analgesic) only works for about 2 or 3 swallows - don&#39;t waste your money.

      The only thing that helped me... antibiotics.
