Truffle Time!

After coating the mold with Ghirardelli chocolate 60% (at 5 parts chocolate, and 1 part shortening for shine and bite-ability) and letting set in the freezer for 2 minutes, I filled the eggs with a mixture of peanut butter, confectioners sugar, melted butter, and kosher salt:


After setting in the freezer for 5 minutes, I added the top coat of chocolate. Then I froze for about 15 minutes and popped them out (ignore the avocado):

These were sooo fun to make. I recommend this little project highly to anyone. It took less than an hour from start to finish.
