This has probably been posted before, but wanting to know what songs people find particularly inspiring.
For me, it's Return to Innocence (Enigma) and In the House of Stone and Light (Martin Page). They have a strong spiritual side.

haha james
for me, anything Paul Simon...especially the songs of his "Still Crazy After All These Years" and "You're the One" albums
I tend to be inspired mostly by melody. Though my selection of them is very random, a lot actually soundtracks from videogames, very emotionally moving.
Honestly, I do found several religious tracks like Christian songs uplifting, even if I don't believe everything in it. But there's a certain sincerity it that touches me.

Oh dear, I cannot narrow it down to a single song, but several albums. I will post my favorite from the album, but there's more I like. I believe all albums have a common theme of self improvement.
A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step [The Package]
Incubus - A Crow Left of the Murder [Beware! Criminal]
Shinedown - Us and Them [Lady So Divine]
Tool - Lateralus [Parabol]
Incubus and Tool? I like your taste.Quote:

A.W.O.L (Yellowcard) taught me that no matter how perfect you are, people will always hate you and it inspired me to stay away from society's grips.
Crazy (Simple Plan) reminded me of why life sucks and it also taught me how to avoid the deep pot holes in life. (I really dont like any of simple plan's other songs. just this one)
2's + 3's (New Found Glory) Taught me that Most people suck.
All Downhill From Here (also from New Found Glory) Taught me that nothing lasts forever, so treasure it while you have it.
That is a good song Rainbow!Quote:

There are a lot of good songs listed.
I like out shined, by Sound Garden.
I also like "Worry about you" by Ivy, which is the theme song for Kingdom Hospital. Also, "Looking for Space" by John Denver has special meaning in its words.
OHHHH yeah, speaking of Ivy, I love that song they did "Edge of the Ocean"Quote:

My boyfriend heard it and was like "That's Madonna singing." I told him it wasn't, but he wouldn't believe me until he spent over 30 minutes searching on google.

I just got Paul Simon's new album "Surprise", I'm sure I'll be posting some of his new stuff in this thread
I'm at the bookstore with my wife. Something's playing that I have never heard before, but it sounds suspiciously like Paul Simon. The more I hear, the more I'm sure of it.Quote:

I went back to the music section and asked... sure enough, it is "Surprise" by Paul Simon. I'm enjoying it, and thinking it would be a good request for Father's Day.
As I'm putting it back, the name "Brian Eno" crosses my mind. Did I read it on there somewhere?
Sure enough.
Sold.
I'll be listening to it through for the first time in the morning... but what I've already heard is quite excellent.
I like that one too. I'm a fan of a lot of Bright Eye's stuff, actually...Quote:

Anyway.
A Few Good Men and The Gauntlet by Dropkick Murphys always make me feel alive and such. I've said before that I'm not a huge fan of the band, but I do have to admit, they make a GREAT battle theme.
Tubthumper by Chumbawamba, a classic
Salty Dog by Flogging Molly always makes me feel like becoming a pirate, which is sort of like being inspired....
Hybrid Rainbow by The Pillows always has a great feel to it.
