Imagine having been with a girl who told you they loved you and missed you, all while fucking some other guy who she denied liking. Imagine having been with a whore who told you she was a virgin just to make you happy. I should have known it was not true. What a lying bitch. Even worse, she makes out with your ex-gf's brother without telling you. I pick the worst people, what a bunch of crock. A girl who sugarcoats a brutal breakup with "let's be friends" and never answers a single call u make, while denying every other time that she is ignoring you. Fuck, I shoulda known she'd pull this shit since her main hobbies are getting high, drunk (twisted) and tripping on E. These kind of people should have never been born.

i feel your pain man. i just escaped from two years of the same shit three months ago. at least you're out of it now and have a learned an important lesson that may save you some pain later on.

Not all people are like that, AirRick. You just have to find the right girl. It hurts now, and it's shitty and all, but don't give up on all chicks just because of one idiot. We're not all bad :wink:.

Yeah that sucks...I mean no one should have to go through that. But then again...I guess you didn't really use your best judgement in this case. Learn from it. You knew the girl was trouble to begin with. Find someone with their head on straight that you can trust. There's plenty of great girls out there.

And just for the record...I know alot of guys who are just as bad if not worse....so yeah. Meh...I like being single. Dating is too much bloody drama. :P

it is precisely because i have observed this time after time after time that i have never bothered having a girlfriend. the sad truth is that many of both girls and guys are selfish, deceitful, manipulative people. it is rare to find a certified jewel in this world...which is why it is so sought after..

perhaps it is impossible to create an open, truthful, real relationship without being friends first, instead of after (when 'being friends' is just a painfully empty phrase as you can testify :( ). and not friends in the sense of working up to something more from the getgo, but just sincerely and simply friends..equals, with trust and honesty. two people that are open with each other.

unfortunately it seems females and males are very rarely friends. they mostly pretend for brief periods in order to eventually satisfy chemical attractions.

you said that you basically knew what type of person she was from the beginning. it is painful and difficult, but perhaps you need to ask yourself whether your own motives were much better than hers in the beginning?

just some thoughts. the only thing i'll say definitively is that i hope you can mend, and move on trusting that there is someone sincere out there who won't screw you over like your ex did. peace and love man :cry: :)

I guess even so, these same ppl are going to break more hearts later on. It's not just me I'm vouching for, it's the waste of resources these ppl are to the world, disposable characters, so to speak. I just finally have empathy for people who deal with the same shitheads (more like potheads)

I really don't have a word on what makes a good relationship (I haven't had one yet) Friends first, or not, I dunno, there's an opinion for either. It really depends on the person who's saying it. The messenger is just as important as the message.

I'm still growing, I have a lot of learning and maturing to do.

Oh, boy, the truth of this. If there was some sort of set formula, procedure, that we could all follow to get a decent, MEANINGFUL relationship, wouldn't that be sweet... but no, instead, we've gotta figure it out for ourselves, every single time...

I'm not even going to go through the whole f'cked up story about my ex, but I'll sum it up with a few short points:

1) I knew we wouldn't work for the entire year she chased me and finally gave in. Point? Trust Your Instincts. -_-

2) She'd gone to the doctor once for cervical pains and told me that the outcome was that there was a 95% chance that she could not have children.

3) About six months later, after she got pregnant she finally told me her real age, which was a year younger than she told me before and legally put me in statuatory rape status. Her logic behind doing this was just that she "was tired of being younger than everyone she knew and started telling people she was a year older than she was about a year before she met me, and it just kinda...stuck." But this was how she is, even now. Sweet until she has the smallest, self-serving fabrication of a reason not to be. I'd almost call her bipolar. Should have seen it coming.

4) When we first broke up but were still under the same roof, she'd disappear for days at a time, going out to get high on coke with a bunch of our "ex-mutal friends" while I'd stay home with the baby. I even ended up missing work a time or two. At one time, we were both invited to a party by these "friends," one of whom I knew she was "talking to." She gave me the old "Just come to the party. I know how you feel and I wouldn't do anything to make you uncomfortable while you're there. I respect your feelings, and I'm not like that." They fooled around all night.

5) When I confronted her about it the next day, obviously hurt more than angry, her reply was. "Well you knew I liked him and you came anyway. You set yourself up for that one." :neutral: Now I've Never been a violent person. I prided myself on self-control. I still do, to a point. So when my fist jumped out, seemingly on it's own accord and smashed the nearest thing to me, which was large picture frame, and split my knuckles apart, I knew I to get out. NO ONE, male or female, has ever pushed my buttons like that, and as far as anger goes, I was in uncharted territory.

6) While I took our daughter and moved back in with my folks and busted my ass as a single parent for two years, she was banging one of my Other friends (that I not only confided in when she'd screw me over before, but whom she hated for the entire time the three of us have known each other. That part blew my mind.) And now, a few months later, they're married and have a daughter of their own.

Ok, so the summary ran longer than I thought :P But these are just a few of the finer points from an endless list of "damn this girl seriously fucked me over" scenarios. (There's a lot more where that came from. Lol.) Going through it all sucks, looking back on it is not so bad, though. As much as half of me does, and will always, go on hating her with every inch of me, part of me knows that I've learned a lot from my experience with her. And that is nothing to just ignore.

My main point though, AirRick is:
Just be thankful you were able to get rid of that one. This one's the mother of my child, so I've still got to put up with her BS on a weekly basis. Consider yourself lucky. lol. :wink:

The problem with my first gf is that she kept chasing me and I gave in as well, like you, Oneironaut.

So I learned not to get with somebody just to make them happy. That fails to make me happy and serve MY best interests. I know, it's hard to resist being a nice guy....

Yes, I'm happy I don't have a child, I'm still only 18 years old dude, I got much schooling and money-making to do before I think of starting a family!

So ya see?
Even the shittiest situations have their silver linings. Not caving and starting a relationship with someone you know you're not right for is one of many lessons I got out of that, also. If it didn't happen with her, it would have likely happened some time down the road.
I also learned a lot about people, in general. It's so easy to get burned once or twice by someone and start to really feel like they are out to get you, personally. After being with her for three years, I saw that her serious attitude problem wasn't even something that she was conscious of. It's just how she is.
Not everyone is the way they are because they Intend, to be, and not everyone that hurts you does so with the intention of hurting you.
After I realized that, it made it a little easier for me to let go of some of the hatred I had for her at the time. Just knowing that things in life and love are sometimes just the way they are. Getting caught in a vengeful downward spiral of hate and constant emotional torment over the things that have happened in the past is never in Your best interest. It's very very easy to forget that fact, no?

Take it from me, it gets easier as time passes. If you two were close, you'll probably end up being around each other every now and then, which is Always going to be awkward. You'll have uncomfortable phone calls every now and then, unless you've Completely severed ties with her. All of this can be as pleasant or unpleasant as you make it, but the fact is that they're likely to happen.

You can either learn from your situation and accept the bs as it comes, or turn inward and reflect over the bs of the past, endlessly? The first is the most difficult path, but I think the latter is least rewarding, ya know?

Poor Oneironaut. I can't believe there are people so selfish. That is the saddest thing ever. I don't think some people know what love is. :shakehead2:
