Thread: DreamViews Dead?

So, is it just me - or is this place dead in terms of activity nowadays?
It's been a while since I've checked in (around a month or two) but it seems that no one is around any more.
At the very least, the people who I'm used to seeing around here aren't active any more.

Thoughts?

Oh, I was basically saying that since the last time I was here, the place seems kind of barren.

I log in everyday and I try to post and add helpful insight to people's questions, even though I'm pretty inexperienced (personally, I've read and watched a lot of LD stuff) but I don't post if I don't entirely know what someone's talking about (such as in that All Day Awareness thread)

Now school started so it is normal we suffered a small hit, but it will recover within the next few weeks. It is a bit slow in terms of new users (or at least, those who introduce themselves in the Introduction area) but far from worrying about it. Check out the lucid Tasks of the Month, you can see it is healthy and active

We appreciate a ton your concerns though, is a good thing to check every now and then!

I'm around but I'm not here as often because of school and work.

All the new DV'ers suck donkey eggs.

I've waited a long time to be able to say that. And now that I've been on here for 4 years, I can.

This might get unnoticed, but...

Sometimes when my mom isn't home,
I like to go to random farms with my chair; sit there and pretend I'm a sucky donkey egg.

Dreamviews isn't dead, it is simply changing. All websites do. I noticed this when I saw a lot of posts by people who are long-gone. A lot of them seem to be experts on dreaming like WakingNomad and Mylynes. For every site the userbase will change. It is very active, but a lot of the old users seem to have left. I am a new person as well .

Yeah,
I mean, I definitely miss this place - the community environment that it fosters is what I miss above all else.
But like a few others have said, it's hard to remain active once your life starts picking up the pace and you find yourself with less and less free-time on your hands.
That being said, I'll try to keep in touch with you guys as often as possible!

Lol I don't know. I've been here over a decade and someone always feels like DV is dead or dying, yet I still stay busy catching up in here every day. Sometimes I feel like it's slow because the threads I've subscribed to haven't had replies in a while, Then I look in "What's New" and there's a ton of crap I missed.

Yeah in all seriousness, the board is pretty active. There's always new people coming in.
