      my roadtrip.

      my first attempt at a roadtrip, not a moment left uneventful, to say the least.
      I would have brought a video camera to capture every f#@$ing moment, but I didn't. it would have been a hit reality show, i swear.

      i'd like to share some pictures

      @ harris ranch inn

      trip back to LA with mr. tow truck and mario (our vw bug overheated and there was radiator fluid everywhere);

      coldplay;

      san francisco

      looks like he's peeing.

      thanks for reading.

      I've never been on a 'roadtrip', as in like, one with friends, myself. I sorta want to do it sometime though. It looks like you had a lot of fun.

      ROADTRIP!!! Love those things! That is how I plan on spending my retirement, one huge roadtrip.

      Course I will have to buy a nice caddy and drive slow in the left lane......

      Looks like you had a blast!
      you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      That would be the ideal Retirement

      I’ve always wanted to go on a Road Trip across America from New York to California, I’ve always loved the concept of the idea, I think that’s why I love books like "Fear and Loathing" and "On the Road", its what links us to our freedom of the past and that level of excitement when you can be totally impulsive and say "lets go to ........".

      When you live in one place all your life I think you lose perspective.

      on the flipside anyone seen that movie by Albert Brooks called "Lost in America" (1985)

      So many great movies in the world about traveling.

      I haven't seen that movie of which you speak...
      But, as a child, from the ages of ten to seventeen, i must have lived in something like four different houses..
      I've moved around a lot, so i've never lived in one place.
      I hope it's made me a bit more rounded as a person, and the other thing is, no one has a clue where i originate from, except that i'm 'down south'!
      On the bad side, i've never made that many friends, and i've struggled to keep in contact with people over the years...it seems as i move, i drop the friends i made along the way.
      Kinda like a snake shedding its skin, i pack up, move on, become someone else...
      Damn, this thread has got me all meditative..
      Btw, Planecrash, did you get to see coldplay?! lucky devil!

      I've lived in one place my whole entire life (I did move once, but it was just down the street.) I think thats made me a bit closed minded and sheltered because I've never really experienced life away from where I am.

      I loved coldplay.

      I'm all for moving around...and in some ways i do regret not having that network of friends...
      But, since the age of ten or so, i've never had many friends, so i guess i've grown up that way, and got used to it.
      I think i'll always move around.

      lmao...we can't stop here, this is bat country!

      I only saw the movie. Depp and Benetio were amazing. I have to read that book. I can't wait for the Rum Diary to come out.
