      So what exactly does a Tech Admin do that a Mod does not? Just curious. Of course, you could say that this is privileged information available only on a need to know basis, and I don't need to know. In which case I will just wish gab all the best in her efforts of taming technology using a magical wand and a machine gun.

      I asked the same question and this is how it was explained to me:

      gab: so, what do I do now?
      boss: same weird stuff, just with more access

      Believe it or not, this actually explains it.

      And, I don't have to make sandwiches and open beer bottles any more. Nau, it's done FOR ME!

      Thank you for the kind words. I'll keep the machine gun, but if you don't mind, I'll swap the magic wand for a sniper rifle. And a night vision scope. Yeah.

      Oh wow - I always assumed a tech admin actually went in and did programming. Now I see what it means - you get access to the deeper levels. I was always curious in my brief foray as a mod what it would be like to be in that inner circle.

      Congrats!! It couldn't have happened to a better person! Hope you don't crack under the pressure (I found being a mod was more about responsibility than privileges or power) - and careful you don't go in and screw up the site!!
