I sometimes can't even imagine that I have a sex drive even though I do. It's like.. the only natural drive that that we weren't born with. I guess drives like hunger are weird too. When you're hungry, there's generally no actual pain. You just want to eat, and you couldn't explain that feeling to someone who didn't feel hunger. But I rarely question that since I can't imagine anything else, since I've been able to feel hunger all my life. But the sex drive came on gradually, and since I can still remember what it felt like not to have it, it seems strange somehow, like I could just lose it at any time.

Or maybe the reason is because it's a more complicated drive, compared to other strong universal drives. The desire for food is satisfied through the ingestion of the chemicals you need. Thirst is satisfied by water. Tiredness is satisfied by laying down and sleeping. The feeling of having to urinate goes away when you urinate. None of this requires much mental effort and is all quite simple. But satisfying a libido is different. The thoughts involved are more complicated. Instead of simply desiring certain chemicals to go into or out of my body (lol no that isn't the desire), it's a desire to achieve somewhat complicated psychological states. I wonder what it feels like for other animals to have sex.

It's just term confusion. Pedophiles can't necessarily help being attracted to children. Someone who actually goes out and rapes them is a children molester, and the two aren't synonymous.
