My father occasionally wanted to impart more "korea-ness" into me when I was younger. This involved signing up for Taekwondo at age six or seven. I liked it more than many of the extra-curriculars I was signed up for throughout elementary and middle school (too fucking many). Unfortunately the Taekwondo dojo I went to started turning into a McDojo after five or six years. I was sick of being spread between six or seven after school activities so I refused to go to any more. By that time my father wasn't in one of his "azn" moods so it was no big deal.

I'm not even sure if any of the stuff I learned is practical.... it impressed my friends, at least.
