Been a while since I posted on Dreamviews, but noticed this thread and it spurred me to post. I'm not sure about 365 days, but I'm on a 90 day challenge myself. Prior to this challenge the longest I went was 8 days, aside from during my period of opiate addiction where I managed long periods simply because I had 0 libido. Now I'm 59 days into my 90 day challenge, hitting the 2 month mark tomorrow, and honestly it's been one of the most positive things I've ever done in my life.
Before I started the challenge:
- Low-medium energy levels
- Decent mood
- No girlfriend

After 59 days of NoFap:
- Energy levels through the roof, working out harder than ever before, building muscle, starting to look good
- Mood is absolutely amazing. I love life
- Got a girlfriend at the 30 day mark
- Managed to not only force myself to leave the house and face my social anxiety, but even do a couple cold approaches
- Girls drawn to me like metal to a magnet
- On the phone with my girl every day, no longer afraid of phone calls
- Confident in myself, proud of my appearance, even got a much needed hair cut after 8 years of letting it grow
Anyone who's considering this but has been unsure: Do it.
I'm a bit of a psychopharm nerd. Used to be a drug user (quit everything last year though) and so brain chemistry has always fascinated me. As a result, when I started NoFap I looked at the science behind it heavily, and the tl;dr of it seems to be that sexual exhaustion (from fapping and reaching orgasm repeatedly each day) causes too much beta-endorphin release. That beta-endorphin then down-regulates your androgen receptors where testosterone binds. Testosterone affects your energy, mood, confidence, how attractive you are to the ladies etc. So by down-regulating the receptors where it binds, all these things suffer. By taking a break from masturbation you allow this all to recover and hence the NoFap benefits.
So to boost my NoFap benefits I also take a whole bunch of supplements to encourage healthy testosterone levels:
1000mg of Tribulus Terrestris extract
10mg of Zinc
150mg of Vitamin B6 (the high dose is to counter prolactin release from D-AA)
15ug of Vitamin D3
500mg Calcium
275mg Magnesium
Fenugreek Extract
White Button Mushroom Extract (Contains Butein, an Aromatase Inhibitor, to stop Testosterone converting to estrogen)
Nettle Extract
Butin
Luteolin
Multivitamin with most of the other major vitamins
100mg Ginseng Extract
3000mg D-Aspartic Acid
3000mg Creatine
All of the above either boost testosterone directly, promote its synthesis, or help stop it from breaking down into estrogen via aromatase. The supplements have definitely sped up the NoFap benefits.
