Thanks guys, I'll need it. Perhaps if I break my arms! No that's stupid... |

I'm afraid I failed yesterday. My dream was kind of wet, and my illogical half asleep brain decided that it made no difference anymore as the challenge was already over. |

I am beginning the challenge today. My first goal will be 7 days and then I will work my way up. |

All the best to you too! |

Alright guys I just started the challenge today. I'm curious to see how this will affect me after a week. |
|
Day 1 complete. The only trouble I should think would arise would be when I am home alone for hours after school this week. I might have to arrange to stay at school longer |

So, question: How has this had an effect on your dreams/lucid dreams, if at all? |
|
Tommo - I think they're trying to induce wet dreams |

Some people get more wet dreams, some people don't get wet dreams at all when they're doing this challenge. |
|
Of course on the second night I have a very arousing dream... Murphy's law... |

On your last week jerk like no tomorrow |
|
see it's nice when you have a nice dream from abstaining but then that gets your libido going again. like say if i go for 7 days i really don't even have any urge to do it. if i do it out of boredom or something or have a good dream then i want the urge comes back |
|
Is anyone going to go for the full challenge this year? I'm considering it |
|
tbh i've never even considered a year lol. seems a little excessive haha. |

Elephant in the room says: Funniest/most entertaining thread on DV... hands down. |

Things are not as they seem
While I agree with this, I think abstaining for a while is necessary if you want the benefits. After years of jacking off it takes months of nothing to rebuild dopamine receptors. After that, everything in moderation, yes. |

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.
No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.
