Still succesful :) I'm really glad I got back into this for some reason haha. Once you get the good feeling from this, it is even more addicting than fapping itself IMO

The first thing that came to mind when you mentioned fasting is the ritual Muslims will take when it's near one of their festivals. I've been around many Muslim people so I know. They have 2 meals a day, 12 hours apart. Breakfast before the sun rises, and dinner after the sun sets. They eat together as a big family during that period of a month. They are not allowed to drink water as long as the sun is up in the sky, only allowed to dap some water onto their lips.

i water fasted a few times in the past where i would just drink water. i did it to cleanse my body. the longest i did it for was 5 days. i found it very difficult but i liked the way my body felt afterwards.

For purely educational purposes I will add that it lasts 40 days.

I remember reading a short article in Wired in which the author discussed performing "stunts" (i.e., some of his examples were watching the opposition news (fox or msnbc) for a week or two, living by all the rules in the old testament (which he did for a year for a book he was writing), or writing with a quill on parchment (which is how he wrote the article), not just for a writer but for anyone, as a means of expanding one's horizons. I feel like observing ramadan would be an interesting one to try (hell, why not pick a year in which to observe one tradition from each of the world's major religions? I'd better get a blog first :chuckle:).

So we have become a fasting thread now? Wonders what if someone attempted fasting and no fap challenge for a month together.

Don't think I'm going for fasting. Eating is like the major enjoyment in my life. I would rather fast without electricity, not including lights and fans and air-con.

Actually, during the time where I spent about two weeks (approximately) on a juicing fast, I noticed I didn't need to masturbate. Sex was a different story.... I didn't NEED it but the tantric variety held higher appeal than normal.
