Didn't Qaddafi have an actual phobia of elevators? |
|

Haha yeah, death was after her perhaps? |

When I saw this thread I immediately thought of that final destination scene. |

Just push the emergency stop button. |

Elevators are one of the safest means of transportation that we use daily. |

As far as an elevator falling (which has been my only real fear on the subject), elevators are equipped with free-fall breaks (mechanical device that activates breaks when it's falling past a certain speed), and they're also hooked by cable to a counter-weight preventing the elevator from falling. As far as the doors...don't take any chances. |
|
This is now a competition about gruesome accidents. |
|
I have this sick desire to know EXACTLY what happened and what it looked like. Did her spine get crushed vertically? Was one leg on and one leg off the elevator? I want all the gory details, as scary as it is, because I hate not knowing. |

DILDs: A Lot
I just dislike elevators coz when I get off I feel like I'm still going upward. Very uneasy feeling, same with escalators, feeling like I'm moving/sliding forward. |
|
^I was gonna start a thread on that. Lol. |

Pilot was an idiot for disembarking a passenger with the prop running. |

4chan will gt it sooner or later if there is any. So, keep your eye on it lol |

This is why, when I approach an elevator door, I make a quick leap across the threshold, and try to land lightly so I don't jar the elevator too much, and stand stiffly in the back corner until I reach my floor, and then tiptoe carefully across to the door and leap out. |

Despite Fatal NYC Accident, Elevators Still Safer than Stairs | LiveScience |

Well fuck. |
|
Obvious. Although most people who fall down stairs and die would be old, frail people. |
|
Yeah, I was just going to say that the difference here is that elevators kill people because they are faulty, something you can't control if your are getting in one. Where tripping up on a staircase is your own fault and can be avoided by simply taking care. |
|
Giant steel boxes that have sliding metal doors, hanging over nothing in a hundred-story empty shaft? I'm not a huge fan. Especially when it has the "weight limit counter" and over a dozen people push it near the limit. |
