When I first turned them off I felt like I was going to go crazy. I'd start imagining ghosts, and become so paranoid that I get some insane adrenaline rush and run to turn on the lights, but surprisingly that didn't happen. I did imagine ghosts at first, imagining a hand pressing through the shower curtain or something, but before the fear became too intense I was able to calm myself. I was seeing strange spots of light at first. I'm just not used to experiencing the sensation of water while in darkness, especially hot water, it kind of felt like a contradiction. Then the spots of light grew brighter while my eyes adjusted and I was seeing okay near the end. I had the lights out for maybe 5 minutes.
lol The things I'm willing to go through just to have something to post on DV.
Try a few more times, then you should find it a breeze. Maybe it's just me but the first time i tried it i was like "damn this rules". Mine was a 20 minute hot shower, hot as in the whole room you can barely see because the steam. If you keep trying it you'd get used to it, and it would be nice and calming. But you gotta walk slowly so you don't slip, that could be bad.
"Yes Doctor, i slipped and broke my leg because i was having a shower in the dark"
Also find better places for your towel so you don't have to bend over.
