How could it possibly be less safe than admitting to being a pedophile.
To me I cannot really see how you make the difference between gross and genuinely unpleasant. If we assume for a moment that a person with such a fetish will inevitably pursue the fetish, then it seems to me that scat and vomit would be classified as gross, while pedo, rape, sadism and what-have-you would be classified as genuinely unpleasant. But if you don't assume that, then I guess you could classify anything deviant as "gross". So if "Pedo" is just gross, then what is "Rape"? And if rape is just gross as well, where do we have to go to cross the line into unpleasant territory? How widespread does a person's lascivious desire to destroy galaxies have to be before it becomes genuinely unpleasant?
Seems to me like the only way to make this distinction is between thoughts and actions.
