Started breaking ground for my new garden yesterday. Today's mission: remove the little rock I found with the plow.


It's a bit larger than the average pebble.


Some leverage...

My metal detector buzzed a couple of times while doing a quick scan before tilling.

So what do I have?
I have now finally found my god!!

It might be better to say that I was swept away in divine inspiration and created HIM from materials, which I had purchased together long years past, without knowing their destination - namely the pipe-cleaners and styrofoam balls. For the meat-balls I used the red wax I had accumulated for no clear reason either, except it's like play dough. It comes with, or rather around my beloved little 'Babybel' cheeses.
This was pure destiny at work! Must have been!!



It is not just any odd god - noo - it's the famous Flying Spaghetti Monster! His very first invocation on the records was done by a certain Professor Richard Dawkins. He is also known as The FSM - He even has its very own church, and of course I joined up with them directly after this hands-on revelation:

My crafts are not comparable to the famous Michelangelo painting 'Touched by His Noodly Appendage' unfortunately - but a resemblance is there:

Found these sweet things in a store downtown. They engrave details on sheets of metal, then you pop them out and fold them to make sculptures.



That's how tiny the pillars on this were... and I had to roll 48 of them.



Finished product, the roof isn't as low as I'd like but it looks pretty good! the whole thing measures about 1.5 in x 3.25 in



Also did the Spirit of St. Louis and the Titanic. Today I will make the Golden Hind.

Hmmh - mmh - and they get ever better!
My dream is of course a real 3D printer - and they become cheaper, smaller and less problematic all the time as well.
Maybe like with the pc - one day we'll all have one.
Who would have imagined computers to be part of every household of the first world, almost, when they were first conceived!?

And then I would aspire to make mathematically inspired 3D art myself - like Thorolf Sauermann aka jotero - or less good, would of course also be okay..

Finally I have set up all my three bullet-shaped darts the same and can go about direct comparisons!
I used to have to screw down stems and flights and change around, so I didn't really find out yet, which might be the best for me.

And they stick in a home-made darts-holder with construction foam in a cup!
Not that it's interesting for ya, I guess - but I tend to the ones on the left at the moment - the cheapest ones!

Basically every other day

My mother was kind enough to gift me a fan that matches the pink one I've had for years now.



Also I took this weird picture of the sun just beginning to peek through my window very early this morning.

This band of heavy storms rolled through...


...and wiped out the power about 2.5 hours ago. Currently running on generator.


Hooked up to this messy panel with the mains switched off.


Watching the input mains voltage with a meter...


...monitored remotely with an IP camera.

Must be nice to have your skills.

What is the meter for?

It's for monitoring the power coming from the utility company - so I know when it comes back on. The whole house is running on a generator with a manual transfer switch.



I have a feeling it's going to be a while though...

Oh ok, well that makes sense!! Hope it comes back on soon!
