I don't know who this girl is, but somehow I managed to get a pic of her while I was walking...I'm not a creeper!!!



This is the shortcut I take to get to my apartment complex faster. I didn't want to take more pictures here since there were people hanging out near the outdoors section of bars and Dixie Chicken.




This is around Northgate again, not too far from the Sbisa Hall here. Oooh I managed to get more girls in the picture! The blonde one in the red jacket, I know for sure she was in my Chemistry Lecture. :O



If you keep going down this path, you'll see the Sbisa Dining Hall eventually.

Yesterday's ride. I'm finding it unexpectedly addicting to be able to do this nearly every day before work. (I've also dropped a little over 10 lbs, in the 2 weeks that I've had my bike. )

We have bears in these woods, ya know. I haven't gone too deep into them yet. Will wait until I either have more time or more riders with me...probably the latter. Haha.)




There are a few gulls in this picture, but you can't really see them because it's scaled down.

You should have your brakes pointing down at around a 45 degree angle, instead of straight out. Apparently it is really damaging to your wrists long term
to have them straight. Takes a little getting used to but it's way more comfortable.
And LOL at "don't harass the Alligators" sign. Somehow I think that's sort of self-regulatory

I know. I keep trying to remember to fix them before I go on my rides, but I'm usually already moving before I remember that they are off. The left brake is actually even a little higher than straight out. It's just that, once I get going, I'm always like; "fuck it, I'll do it later." Then, when I get done with my ride, I just pack my shit up and start getting ready for work. Lol.

I'll do it before I go out today.

Hehe. I think he means the frame design, which technically makes it a girls' bike.

Oh, and I wasn't being satirical, I really didn't think it would be considered a girly bike I didn't know what he meant hahaha.

Now I feel sad knowing that I ride a girly bicycle, but I can't spend money on a new bicycle, otherwise my father would just get angry and whine about silly things. And the bicycle I have really sucks, if I try to stand up and ride to go faster, it might get loose and shift off from the gears.

I wish I had a better bicycle =( Yours looks cool

Definitely feels a lot better, after I adjusted the brake/shifter levers, you should try it. The reach for them feels much more natural.

And don't worry too much about the gender thing for now. There's a difference between just riding a bike for fun and needing to use it as a mode of transportation. So you know, though, generally, the bikes that you see with the lower top bars on the frame are for women. They made them that way, back in the day, so that women can comfortably slip their leg over the bar without having to hike up their skirts and show off the goods all the time. Most shops now make them a little more androgynous, but some manufacturers still use that design.

Thanks for the compliment on the bike, though. I definitely know what you mean, about the horrible shifting. The bike I have now is the first 'decent' mountain bike I've ever had. All of the other ones I've ever owned came from Walmart. They did me ok at the time, but after the first ride I had with this bike, the difference was like night and day, even though this one is used. If you are really interested in a new (or maybe not so new) bike, I would suggest checking out craigslist. You can find some decent used bikes for under the $200 mark. Depending on your funds, it might take a little bit to save for, but it's definitely worth it!

Took a little ride through Lake Helen yesterday. Was about to venture into Cassadaga (the "Psychic Capital of the World"), but was running late on time, so I had to start heading back in.

My bike was doing that as well, if I tried to go too fast/pedal too hard the chain would just slip off the gears.
Still haven't got around to figuring out how to fix it, I think you need to adjust the derailer/derailleur (the thing that pulls the chain off one cog and on to another).
But I also need new wires as well, so I don't know if adjusting it works yet.
I just bought a new cheap mountain bike, works pretty well, but much harder to ride on the road than my other bike.

Oh yeah and don't worry about having a girl bike lol Who cares, really. They all work!

Another nice ride today. ALMOST got a picture of two deer, but I was just too damn slow on the trigger. It completely made my day, though.

Hard to see but, within moments of asking myself whether this old railway was still in use, a freighter appears along side and tries to race me. I dominated, naturally.

This next one was the highlight of my ride. Rounding a turn, I came across something on the trail that definitely didn't look human. It took me a moment to realize that two deer were crossing the path, just a few feet in front of me. They froze and looked at me as I stopped and tried to get my phone as quickly and quietly as I could. Unfortunately, just as I was able to raise my phone and snap the picture, they had already lept away into the woods to the right side. I seriously snapped this picture just as the tail end of the second deer went out of view. In the moment it took for the phone to register the picture, they were both gone.

Fairly normal news for my town.

Here's a picture of my family watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This picture was followed by tons of likes on Facebook. I was happy with that. My 62 year old Dad enjoyed it! And I'm not in that picture, so that counts right? You said people we see during the day. :S

Here's how many free water bottles I could fit in the book-bag from school. So many water bottles. It took a little while to finish those.
