[Sees flower] Damn I hate where I live, I wish I lived somewhere hot like that where flowers like that could grow, along with all kinds of amazing wildl - [sees spiders] nvm |
|
hahahahaha |

I'll bet you could grow birds of paradise where you are. You would just need to bring it indoors and put it in a sunny window when it gets cold. |
|
I think we have black widows around here, but the most common poisonous spider here is the brown recluse. |

I think it likes you |

Lol yeah we struck up a bit of a bond - you know, the photographer/model thing. She's long gone now - didn't even leave a note or anything. I miss her so much - at least I still have the pics.. |

As far as I know, we have no spiders anywhere near that big or dangerous in this country. Thank fuck for that. The worst we have to put up with around here are wasps. The evil little bastards fly right up in your face and chase you when you run away. |
|
Ugh! I HATE wasps!! |
|
D: Darkmatters, that would have scared the crap out of me. Every summer those spiders take over the shed and I have to find some way to get in and open the little pen door to let my chickens outside. |

If you're feeling hungry, take a look at my friend's awesome food blog:
Chai-spiced almond cookies
Sizzling beef with cilantro and hoisin sauce
I love spiders. |

Oooo...wolf spiders. Great pictures DM and Anderj! |
|
Lol I freaked out when I scrolled innocently past that pic not expecting to see it. Suddenly I almost jumped out of my skin! |

Ok, I just checked and 3 1/2" is all the way across the palm of my hand - that's about the size of the biggest ones I've seen too. Though if you'd grab the tips of their legs and stretch them out they'd probably go to 4 or 4 1/2". *SHUDDER* |
|
OMG anderj! You scared the shit out of me with that spider! |
|
Spidrs are terrible. I've battled them often. They walk around until you squish them with a picece of paper attached to a chemistry textbook from 3 foot above. Then maggots come and gather the remnants. |
|
Thank you. |

It also sounds like Dianeva was drinking at 3 in the morning.. |

I'ma just interject into this lovely conversation about spiders and deep-rooted fears to say that many of the photos posted on the last few pages have made me smile. Good on you all for sharing your lives with the rest of us. |

DV Dictionary. / Verious: a definition. /
I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
Oh my butts, that is a beautiful spider. |
