They set off 3-4 volleys 10 minutes apart, then announced over Twitter that they had faulty wiring. They spent another half an hour trying to get it sorted, then canceled and rescheduled for tonight. My 'burb has a reputation for a great show, so there were thousands of disappointed people.

On the way to the The Amazing Spider-Man premier, and got stuck in all the traffic for the people watching the Fireworks over Crane's Roost Park.

I don't get what's all the hype towards fireworks. I don't find them particularly mesmerizing.

I'm pretty fond of plain old fire, so throw it up in the sky with colors and boomy noises and I'm all set.

I like how fireworks look, but they are not that special in my opinion.... and their loud sounds annoy me... I don't like popping sounds.

When the fireworks fizzled and I ended up at my friend's parents' place, one of the neighbors tossed up an M-80 or something big about 15-20 feet directly over our heads, so that we actually felt the shockwave when it went off and it made a horrendous bang. Most of the group was middle aged and elderly, and there was much scolding and harumphing. I just played along muttering, "Oh yes, that's terrible," while hiding the grin on my face :D

You know... next time i find something unusual in my bag of chips or something, i'll send them a letter too. I like free chips.

But i wonder if this applies to siamese gummybears... after all that's not how they are supposed to look. I doubt they would send me another pack though :cry:

Or you can just place something in there, take a picture, write a letter.... job done.

I thought about that... but i guess they keep track of things that MIGHT get into a pack during the packaging process... Or maybe not? Hmmm...

I can't possibly imagine they would send you a free bag of gummybears, but it's worth a try! Always worth a try! I have to try it the next time I come across siamese gummybears or anything siamese. Maybe I should send an email to the company who sold me this deformed grape? :-?

Yes they do. Cadbury eggs are loved by moths, so if you're unlucky, you'll find a moth in the creamy center of the Cadbury egg. A company knows what items would wind up in their products. Not only would they get complaints, they'd perform quality checks from time to time, and discover what wood or moth morsels fly into their packages.
