Thread: What Can/ Can't you do?

Name stuff that you can do that many other people can't do

OR

name stuff you cant do that most people can

- I cant whistle
- I can play the piano
- i cant snap my fingers most of the time

Okay go!

- I can speak and write Danish
- I can't eat meat without being ill.
- I can't play any instrument
- I can't handle too many sounds, smells and stuff like that.
- I can't come on more can/can't things right now.

i absolutly have trouble having favourites

i dont have a favourite

movie
tv show
food
song
hobby (well, kinda)
characters in some shows
characters in some video games
video game

I can't:
- snap my fingers
- whistle
- play any musical instruments
- be in a shopping center for more than an hour without getting disoriented and dizzy

I can:
- catch bees without fear
- catch butterflies easily using only my hands
- move my thumb in such a way that a cracking noise occurs (different from cracking joints)
- bend the first joint of my fingers while keeping the other joints straight
- bend my fingers backward with my other hand making an angle <90 degrees between the fingers and the back of my hand
- speak some spanish
- memorize numbers really easily and relatively quickly (phone numbers, license plates, etc.)
- has cheezburger

My gr 7 teacher would write notes on the board and would say them word from word in a regular speed once or twice. I could copy the notes without looking at the board just by hearing him say the sentences once.

The following are more "quirks" than anything else.

I can:
Make a grasswhistle (no one seems to be able to do this one >_<)
Visibly wiggle my ears
Flex my tensor tympani muscle in my ears, producing a low, constant rumbling noise
Type insanely fast

I can't:
Whistle
Snap my fingers

I can almost never ever be annoyed EVER

only like 2 people can annoy me in the entire world

And when other people deliberatly try to annoy me

I annoy them 10x harder

I can drink beer
I can Chat on IRC all day
I can drink beer(again)
I can do alot of things

I can't stop drinking beer.

I can:
Flex my tensor tympani muscle in my ears, producing a low, constant rumbling noise
Type pretty fast with just four fingers
Move my nose muscles
Play keyboard a bit
Remember statistical data for the darndest of things after only hearing them once
Come up with relations and similarities between virtually everything

I can't:
Whistle
Get sick through the means of low temperatures
Listen to what other people call loud music (I have good ears)
Remember birth dates properly

That reminds me. I can't seem to remember the names of people I've met at all. It takes a while for me to remember them.

I can:
-Do that ear muscle thing, though I never know that was what I was doing!
-Remember the lyrics to almost every song I've ever listened to more than once
-Find just about any excuse to cry
-Remember the full names of almost every classmate from Elementary through High School, even though most of them don't remember me.
-Remember most of my dreams (within the dream world I have like, an entirely separate database of memories and an entire, fairly consistent, history that I go back to within the dream)
-Point out attractive girls to my boyfriends without feeling jealous or threatened
-Whistle
-Blow bubblegum bubbles
-Cross my eyes
-Snap my fingers
-Cook
-Type on a computer keyboard properly (fingers at rest on the home row, never looking down at the keys, no hunt-and-peck).


I can't:
-Do math
-Control my emotional impulses
-Remember what/if I ate earlier in the day
-Keep track of the days (everything that happened more than a few hours previous happened "the other day")
-Do origami
-Draw from memory or imagination
-Drive a car
-Dance (I can't look at choreography and figure out how to copy it)

How do you figure? I know lots of people who can't do the things I said I "can" and who can do the things I said I "can't". It's sort of subjective.

I can count by twos and tie my shoes but I can't talk to girls without feeling at least a little nervous.

Plural as in more than one partner or were you referring to past boyfriends?

I CAN:
Empathize/sympathize incredibly well
Whistle almost any song I've heard once; perfectly mimic a couple of birds
Do that ear thingy lol
Bend my right fingers at 90 degree angel; my left at about 75
Climb by "walking" up the tree or pole (feet in front of me, toes splayed)
Play video games for way too many hours at once :/
Remember the *melodies* of most songs after hearing once
Drive a full-sized RV while pulling a car trailer
Play several instruments by ear but not well (I can play out the basic melody but no fancy stuff)

I CAN'T
Do math
Follow directions (when driving etc)
Tell time easily on a regular clock
Use military time without pulling out my hair
Climb anything if wearing shoes
Be in crowds for extended amounts of time without "passing out" from anxiety.
Can't figure out the guitar and such without

I can think but I cannot feel.

Referring to all boyfriends past and present. Though I'm not certain I have a boyfriend at present.

I can be outspoken, witty, funny etc while I'm high but I can't carry on an engaging conversation (with people I'm not familiar with) while sober, at least not without getting slightly nervous.

You could try asking him out on a date. Stay in the gray area for too long and you'll end up as perpetual friend-zone fodder. If he says no, cry and eat ice-cream, then move on to the next one. If he says yes, have a good time, then go out again soon after. .-.
